@AussieAmerican all good i got your msg. Good luck.😄
Another Skype chat with Dr Nikos last night. Everything is starting to become a reality as time gets closer now.
I am starting on fertility acupucture here next week also. Dr N is timing my period for arrival in Athens and have to sort out the Nasal spray and Gonnol F in the next couple of weeks. How much did everyone pay for Gonnol F here? Is it covered under Medicare?
My lining was fine and then I got on the plane and got my period. Two weeks early! Trying to build it up again😩
Hi @AussieAmerican, just replying to your query. I am going to Iakentro clinic in Greece. We had chosen them before joining this general Greek clinics thread. The clinic requested a scan prior to starting medication so they have a 'baseline'. After I've been on progy for 10 days, they have requested another scan (prior to departure) to monitor progress. If necessary I may have another scan at the Greek clinic prior to transfer.
Hi @Kitkats. The clinic has recommended we be in Greece for 10 days and the transfer will take place during a 3 day window. So we have been able to book our flights, accommodation, etc weeks in advance. Not sure if they have backup donors. My donor is 'proven' so hopefully all will go to plan. All clinics are different so this is just a guide. Hope this helps.
Yesterday I started 2 progy. After 4 days I go to 3 progy, after another 4 days I go to 4 progy, then the scan prior to leaving Oz to see if I stay on 4 progy or change. I never had lining issues with ivf so I'm hoping this will be the same. 😌

Hi Juventina, I think I paid around $118 but that was with the Medicare rebate. Because you're going overseas the Medicare rebate doesn't apply unfortunately and you will have to pay full cost. I would say contact the clinic pharmacy and ask them for exact pricing on how ever many units you'll be using. Hope that all made sense.
@Chanel78, I haven't been overseas yet for a cycle. I'm using donor eggs so don't need the Synarel or gonal-f. Sorry if I missed it but are you using DE's or your own eggs? If you're using DE's I'm not sure why you would need the gonal-f, I know we do have to pay for the donors meds. sorry I can't clarify more for you .
Best advice to all you new ladies and ones who are in process of going over. Don't over thinking it, trust dr Nikos, I know it's hard as we all understand way to much from doing so many Ivf cycles already. Once you can let go and leave it in dr Nikos hands you will relax a lot more.
Best of luck on all your coming trips xx
