some me of you may remember me. I took two trips to Embryoland. The first in May, the second 9 mths ago. Both trips were a failure and I was just crushed. I took myself offline as it was all too painful. The two girls from Australia I was with on my second trip have now given birth.

Today my world turned around when it was finally my turn to see big bright pink lines.

My hcg levels are very high and the last two days I have had quite bad nausea. I'm 12 days past a 5 day transfer.

Dr Kanakas has been by my side throughout this long process and I have known having him across the water I would succeed.

going to Embryoland is like going home to my family. This trip I stepped off the plane and into the warm, welcoming arms of Dr Kanakas.

When I arrived this time a woman from the UK called him to tell him she was pregnant. She had tried for 19 yrs and lost her husband in the process. Her words of joy and gratitude echoed in my mind over these last two weeks as I went through the dreaded wait.

And of of course Dr Kanakas has been there for me every time I had any crazy thoughts.

so I just wanted to share my good news and again give hope to those who think they can't go on or those who are still unsure of which clinic. The only one to consider is Embryoland.
    CONGRATULATIONS ~~~!!!!

Hope you have a healthy and successful pregnancy!! Maybe you have twins in there if HCG is high !!! I know how disappointing it can be to invest so much emotion and money into trying to get pregnant! The sadness of not seeing that pink line, is one I truly remember. I wish you all the very best and am glad that finally your turn has arrived. Bless you and your family.

Me, I'm fine, my boy is nearly 4 months old and perfect. Hes sleeping well, eating well and gaining well...I couldn't be happier. When I wake up in the morning and look into his bassinet my son is always smiling and seeing his cute face lights up my heart. I've never been happier in my life. I thank Dr Nikos Kanakas at Embryoland for making my dreams come true. He is the one who was confident and positive and believed in me and said that I would have a baby and 'not to worry'. Bless him.

Im glad you girls are using my 'brother' the taxi driver Kostas, I met him when I stayed at The President hotel, he is a very warm and smart man, who knows Athens like the back of his hand. He doesnt just drive for money, he truly loves his job and is a proper gentleman.

Its a shame about someone getting their stuff stolen at President Hotel, that really surprises me!! I left my very expensive camera there several times and it was fine? Im sorry to hear that, but I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again, I loved the buffet breakfast and the staff were so helpful and kind. I do however like the idea of an apartment, keep the posts coming, Im still not sure if I'm going back to Greece to try again next year...still thinking, thinking...im so happy right now, but I always think, my son needs a sister or brother..?? Who knows...

Take it easy girls who are going to see Dr Kanakas, he knows what hes doing and you will be lucky, trust me, it will happen. You must stay positive, its a gamble and doesnt always happen on the first try, as you see from some of the girls here...It just makes you appreciate it even more when it finally happens.....

Good luck and God bless you all

@Chanel78 There is absolutely nothing to worry about. You need to take the same precaution as you would anywhere else with your valuables.
There will always be opportunistic thieves however if you are aware of your surrounds you will be fine. I always make sure people don't stand too close to me unnecessarily. We felt safe in both Athens and Dubai. We did go down to Piraeus and the refugees were protesting and whilst it was overwhelming (noisy and a bit intimidating) we didn't feel threatened.

Welcome to all the newbies. This is a wonderful forum and everyone is extremely supportive and will give you any information you require.
Good luck to everyone on whichever phase of your baby making journey that you are on.

No worries, you'll get the hang of it pretty quick! And you'll find this thread helpful for all sorts of questions regarding travelling to Greece for IVF - it can be kinda addictive ;-) (Bubhub - not IVF in Greece that is!)

Hi @vasa001 and @AussieAmerican! Welcome to this thread!

I'm off to Greece in 13 days! Start progynova medication tomorrow. Scan last week was fine. Baseline lining measurement is 3mm which is a good start apparently. I have a small follicle but it's too small to worry about.

Thanks for the welcome @CherryCP! How exciting that you're only 13 days from departure.

Did you ask to have a scan done before you headed overseas or did Dr Kanakas have you do a baseline scan? I'm a little worried that my lining is going to be an issue because I don't respond to the estradoil (patches or pills) and I'm thinking I'll ask for a few scans before I head out too.

Hi AussieAmerican - I have lining issues too - these days I use 9 progynova/day and patches to get a decent lining (I respond better to oestrogen post my last pregnancy so can take less meds). My clinic (serum IVF) also suggest vaginal viagra for troublesome linings - not sure if you've tried that before, I've not needed it (although I got damn close on cycle 7!) but a friend used it for Australian and Greek cycles and it worked for her.

Anyway I always get scans before I go over just so I know where I'm at - no nasty surprises. Gives me peace of mind :-). Do what makes you comfortable I think. Good luck!

Thanks @ vickjc for you reply. I'm definitely going to ask for lining scans before I fly over just for peace of mind. I can't imagine how upset I would be if I went over and my lining wasn't sufficient for transfer. 9 prognova, wow!!! My past FS wouldn't let me take more than 3 that gives me some hope that all I may need are additional patches and pills. I haven't used vaginal viagra but I may ask my clinic about it

Thanks again for your input and can't wait to hear about you success at Serum this go.
