Thank you all for your well wishes.
Our perfect little girl Hazel Adele was brought into this world screaming last night just after 2200 after nearly 24 hours in labour.

I spent all day yesterday in crazy pain trying to push my Bub out. I opted against the epidural and just used the gas and Tens machine but I really feel like I should have gone the epi. The pain was unbearable.

Poor little Hazels head was not straight and we did everything we could to work her into a better position but she was just too big and my pelvis is too small.

My Ob made the decision to take me to OT at about 2000 to see if she could help her out with forceps and if that failed then I would go for a Caesar. Well it failed and I ended up with the Caesarian which just broke my heart. But Hazel is an enormous 4.4kg so honestly, I don't think I ever would have got her out, even with the epi.

I had a big bleed and lost about 1.5litres of blood so didn't get to spend time with Hazel for nearly 2 hours. DP took her and did skin to skin on the ward and gave her a feed while I recovered.

She is sucking amazingly and is such a bright Bub. I'm just so sad that I can't do anything for her. I'm in so much pain and it's killing me not being able to just pick her up and put her on me.

It was all so so worth it. I have never felt so much love before for Hazel and DP who was just my absolute rock throughout the whole labour. I feel so lucky right now despite all my whinging.

I'll take some photos today and post them. ☺️

Congratulations, wishing you a quick recovery. It's hard when your birth doesn't go as you had hoped but thankfully you are both ok

Hope you're feeling ok after having a PPH. You may need an iron transfusion, but they'll tell you if you do.

What a big Bub. You obviously did an amazing job growing such a healthy babe. I love her name.

Congratulations to you and DP again xxx

Congratulations A&S! Glad Hazel arrived safely. Hope your recovery is fast, I found it not too bad after the first few days after C-Section.
