Hi @Velvet16 thanks for your message. No I've not been icing it. Might try that this arvo when i get home. Just noticing over last few days that it's getting a bit harder to push needle in some places where bruises had been.

Not sure it might be on thread number 1. But basically Warren just thinks that by splitting the dosage it allows for a more even number of follicles (I think) @BlondeinBrisvegas would be a good one to ask. She is my go to when I have Wazza or IVF related Questions. @Chyna try the ice hun, otherwise their is an oitment you can use that you get from the chemist over the counter. I don't know if it is safe to use when pregnant though so just check with them first. It numbs the injection site so it won't hurt as much but I don't know if it wil reduce the bruising side effects..

Yes we did, it was relaxing we gardened and went for a huge walk/swim at the beach with my fur babies. Hope you had a lovely week end too x I started my clexane needles last night the first one is always so easy but after a few weeks ouch. On the up side I did my last syranel sniff last night so I guess you could say it was a bit of a win/lose situation. Good bye syranel and hello clexane.

    Stupid bloody Clexane needles!!!!

As @Maxwellsmum said, try icing up the area 3-5 mins prior to injecting. If it feels a bit stingy afterwards as well, just ice it again for a couple of mins. I found that helped minimise the bruising for me and take the "ouch" factor out also

Emla cream is a topical anaesthetic cream numbs the area prior to doing the injection, blood test etc but as far as I'm aware should be used with caution or only if necessary in pregnancy. Check with Wazza/one of the nurses if in doubt

ETA- I used to use a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a tea towel to numb my stomach.

I can't remember Luv but can tell you that Wazza will split your FSH dose and get you take half in the morning and half at night as he believes it promotes more even and uniform follicle growth.

So, if you were on 400IU a day for eg, you'd do 200IU in the morning and 200IU at night. I did them 12 hrs apart though there's no hard and fast rule. Doing them a bit earlier or later won't hurt or harm anything
