    @Tinachris
    Are you cycling with Warren? Do you mind me asking your amh? And is your FSH high too?
    I am in Syd but have booked in to see Warren in Nov.
    About to start new cycle on Monday if bloods are ok. Nervous as last time they tried elonva and cycle was cancelled. X

    Default Dr Warren De Ambrosis - Wazza appreciation thread #2

    as I changed from another specialist to her in February I've only done cycle prep. I'm fairly new into ivf only done one cycle and one iui due to poor response to the small dosages I was on. I have amh of 3.3 not sure about fsh. Currently I'm quite impressed about being on some great supplements and having nkcelks testing (yes I have them too ☹)and a flush &scratch as well as the proposed increased meds (double from my previous ivf cycle!!!) and proposed steroids and her suggestion of icsi. I was devastated about the low amh but now I'm okay with it. What can we do? We just try to play the cards we're dealt don't we? 😘

My DH's dad lives with us in an apartment/granny flat which is connected to our house and there's a lot that needs to be done for his ill health too.
    He struggles because he 'forgets' to take them, hates the pumpkin seeds and refused to drink the aloe juice. I'm going to start hiding in drinks I think. He's good with wearing boxers now and ' icing' night but the rest, slack. I asked him once would he rather a needle in the testicle or swallow some tablets, after all we have all had those needles in the 'vag' each egg collection so how is swallowing tablets hard??
    EPU for our donor is 14 April! Not long to go!
    Yeah SET is best practice, just wondering..
    I do know the pain of a studying DH. It's like when they are sick and need so much attention, but when we are studying we have to keep everything else going! Men! . With the pumpkin seeds and gogi berries, my DH just knows he has to eat them, but one time I had some melted chocolate and mixed them in that and he said they were pretty good. Maybe put a "dose" of each in a mini muffin tin and pour chocolate over and mix it in a bit? Plus a tablet organiser so it's quicker and easier for the supplements? I've never had aloe juice, but hear it's not very nice - so putting it in juice sounds good. Otherwise dob him into Wazza and he'll get an ear-full! My DH once complained about the boxers as he was worried they were injurying him and Wazza did the whole "compared to what your little lady has to do...". Love Wazza!

    Do you want twins? If so have you pushed it with Wazza? It might be best practice, but not a firm rule?

    Wazza had said to me that PGD results were usually much quicker than the 3 week they say, but with Easter I thought they might be delayed. I thought they'd biopsied yours last week?

    I think we'll do a DET - I just want to check with Wazza about whether PAP and things are up-to-date. We have had one normal not work in the past...

    Here's hoping its the same in my case then, will try not to count on it and then it will be a bonus. I spoke to the nurse in Warrens room last week and started the ball rolling with the testing, I asked if there was any paperwork to be filled in but apparently not they would just contact the scientists. I then got a phone call on Tuesday telling me there actually was paperwork so the whole thing has been delayed and now with Easter wont be until next week earliest. Can understand you wanting to go with the DET, I would too if I ever get two embies and I sm allowed.

    Wanted to share these two studies from another forum I'm in - for anyone with RIF/RPL or failed IVF whose FS doesn't treat possible underlying immune factors - in the uterine profiling study of the 394 women with IVF fails, 57% had overactive immune indicators (so needed steroids +/ intralipids, Vit E, Progesterone) but 25% were underactive (so needed endometrial scratch + HCG + BD post transfer). Pretty compelling results from using Tacrolimus too from the Japanese study.
