Ultimately would love just to use our our own sperm but if it won't get us the end result of a bubba then something needs to happen!

Great result with the donat sperm too! I could only dream of having that many blasts! A typical cycle for us is around 12 eggs collected with only having one blast to transfer and rarely having one in the freezer. They all tend to arrest between day 4 and 5. I actually think the growing part of the process is worse than the 2WW!
Hey Blinky thanks for sharing your story. Can I ask for your successful ED cycle was it DH's fertilised embryos that resulted in your pregnancy? Or the SD's.

She said she may suggest PICSI or even PGD testing but we have trouble getting embies to day 5. She mentioned they could even test on day 3. I'm not sure if its worth the extra $$ and stress with the testing to be honest. Charlotte did mentioned donor sperm to us as well and using a little bit with our cycle. We have only touched on this briefly but may be an option but like you I'm not totally sold on it yet and hoping we can make it work ourselves! I have DH on supplements but have to constantly remind him..... men!!! So until I hear from Charlotte with next steps we will just hang around and wait for little old AF to arrive!!!!
Keepontryin great to hear you guys got the same advice around using donor sperm too. Like you we haven't got our heads quite around it yet. I'm nervous about trying to get DH on board plus get it organised such short notice (3 weeks till EPU for our egg donor)... Sorry for the question but where/how did you get it?? Also my DH is west African so I'd like to consider a black donor (is this even possible?)

    Remarkably it was DH's. 😁
We put it down to the fact that DH must obviously be severely affected by stress as he also didn't follow his supplements like he was supposed to... (He only admitted this after the fact)

The donor sperm had a great strike rate too: 10 x 5d blasts.

On the day of Tx, We went into our appointment with our dr expecting him to recommend Tx'ing the double donor based on quality/development (they used an embryo scope on ours so could tell which were the best ones). When he suggested 2 embryos from DH's batch we were nervous knowing that any previous Tx's had always resulted in a BFN.
This was heightened when the remaining 5 embryos from DH's batch didn't make it to freeze.

We now have 5 x double donor embryos on ice (technically 'half' siblings of our twins)
