Sorry tmi post, has any of you ladies used the compounded progesterone pessaries rather than the chemist bought ones? Not sure why I am on these this time rather than the other ones, may be due to the higher dose. They are not nice at all though and leave so much pure white residue - yukkk!!!

@Heyside are they the ones you buy through Warren's rooms? They are the only ones I have been on (400mg)

Yes @wishing25, I got them through Warren's rooms and they are 400mg. The difference is just the white residue I think the other ones were more clear. Just a bit yuckk to deal with, sure I will get over it lol!

@wishing25 & @Heyside tmi ahead!! yes I've used them - when using vaginally I find they get too messy even when lying down for half an hour- so back in 2013 they advised to insert then follow with tampon coated in Vaseline so discharge wouldn't come out which worked.
However this time around Warrens nurse suggested to use them rectally to avoid mess- which also worked- but I found that it also makes me need to go to the toilet- so I'm often uncomfortable trying to keep it in as to not waste the expensive pessary... Urgh fertility treatment can be so undignified!!

Hi @Heyside and @softshellcrab I was advised the same thing... And (sorry tmi ) I found that it was much easier to do my morning one and lunchtime one rectally because you don't have to lay down for 30 mins in the middle of the work day.
