@mrsparso and @Heyside i feel the same about 'wishing away' life. Sometime i wonder whether when i hit 40, I'll wake up and realise i spent my 30's doing nothing except ivf and regret not just appreciating the time i had but its hard coz i have no other choice but to give up trying altogether. Last night i was trying to think of things i could plan and do if ivf doesnt work out in the next 5 years or so but i couldnt think of anything, except sleeping in on the weekends, lol. I dont even remember the dates of anything in the past, just cycle days and what round of ivf i was doing at the time other things happened. Its nice to know other peeps feel the same.

That way I'll have the day to get over a bfn and not stress about bt results (although i will anyway). Also just trying to stay positive but more in the way of planning for my appointment in june with charlotte. How are you?
So, i spoke too soon with my 'i dont bruise' with clexane. Holy ****-i musta hit a blood vessel this time! DH has been very sympathitic now there is real physical evidence so im milking it all the way.
@mumaKes and @Gen72 i hope your transfers go smoothly and am sending out baby dust n good vibes your way.
    Ih

Oh, also ive been looking for an alternative to coffee and even decaf coffee, although im a 'i dont want to live if i cant have a cuppa coffee' kinda girl but anyway, i saw this roobios tea in coles and its really nice!!! No milk or sugar needed and i dont really like teas. Just thought id let ladies know if you need a nice warm mug of something with nothing bad in it as a part of your day, i highly recommend it. :-)
I'm glad your well! How did you not bruise from the pregnyl?? Must be me but I have a huge one and two others from last weeks pregnyl! Then I have little ones from the clexane all over. Urgh! It's all good though.

Yes good idea not to poas if it's too stressful. I won't be poas early but my bloods is on the May Day public holiday so I'll probably do the same as you and wait till that day to poas.

I have never tried that tea. I'm a Tetleys girl and have been drinking a decaf or two. Hubby calls it my morning hot flavored milk lol

AFM I'm not at work again today so been bingeing on outlander the last three days lol I'm so exhausted.

I cant remember your story and if you dont mind me asking, can you fill me in again? Age, fertility issue n how many times you tried ivf? (Lol, hoping all your details are exactly the same as mine so i can be like, "Yes! It can happen to me too!"
PS Do i have to be on pc to make a signature? i cant find any buttons/links to make mine.

@gorgeousgeorge - Hope the next 5 days go quickly hun, can understand you waiting until Monday to test, I am usually the same just test the dsy before bt. Lol milk all the sympathy you can get with your visual bruises, I hardly bruise either to like to get as much sympathy as possible when I do lol! I am not a coffee drinker more of a tea girl but I do like some of the herbal teas, roobios is nice also grown to like chamomile and peppermint, you can get all 3 at starbucks too which helps when I am out meeting friends. I so get you with missing your 30's do to IVF stuff but we just have to remind ourselves the hard time we are going through now may change the rest of our lives forever.
@Tinachris - enjoy your time off you deserve it x

@Tinachris im not on the pregynl, is that a progesterone injection? My fs has never prescribed it for me. I do crinone x2, prednisolone 5mg x 4 and clexane x 1. Im hoping charlotte might see me as a good candidate for dhea because i need to improve my wggs quality n im really interested to at least try it. I know i need to be on it for at least 3 months so then i can save up during that time to have another stim round. Did you try dhea? Oh and ive only just started thinking about costs for a cycle with charlotte. How much difference is there between specialists? Do you mind me asking how much you ended up out of pocket? With my fs at the moment, i think its about $3500 out of pocket 1st stim cycle for the year, including meds n anesthetist because ep is a day surgery procedure. He's been realky sympathitic with trying to reduce costs for me. When i went to see him after my 2nd failed stim cycle (4 eggs, 1 fertilised, no icsi used??? Which i didnt know about, jusf assumed they would use it) he looked at my records on thd computer, looked at me over his glasses and said, "well, that was crap. You're not paying for that!" And the next day i got $3500 refunded back into my account. So he basically gave me a FREE cycle. Pretty amazing n he didnt have to do that at all. This 4th cycle they gave me a 15% discount too.

I absolutely understand what you mean @gorgeousgeorge. You seem to spend your whole time checking the calendar and counting days. Holidays are planned around ivf cycles and i often will just say i can't make it out to things during a cycle as don't want to have to worry about how I'm going to do my injections. Or you go out to dinner and spend the time looking at your watch and thinking of an excuse to go and jab yourself without anyone noticing!! I found the constant waiting for news on the other end of the phone hard in the last cycle. You feel like the fate of you having a family is completely out of your hands. But...at least we know we're doing everything possible to make it happen and I guess just need to make sure we stop and smell the roses along the way ☺

Awh thanks honey. I turned 40 in Dec last year and a week after my 3week long celebration found out we were pregnant. Unfortunately we lost bub at 9wks ( natural mc - which was something nobody should have to go thru). Then finally got my 1st af in Feb and had a day to decide what to do. So after a few yrs trying we started an iui cycle with Wazza and got our bfp with Twins. I was so shocked as I have an ahm of 1.1 and my doc said I've got not a good chance of concieving. But Wazza has done his magic with all the clexane, hormones and vitamins and here we are. Just need to get through next week (9wks) and to my 12 weeks and I'll be able to telax a bit more.

Pregnyl is a trigger shot. I'm doing three of them over this week to boost my lining and chances of implantation. It has given me pregnancy symptoms, which is pretty cruel!
No I didn't do dhea but she'll support you if you want it. I did melatonin I also did the growth hormone Scitropin which is $1200 extra. I did icsi which was $800 extra on top of thec$7860 for ivf. I don't know how much out of pocket I will be tbh I just claimed at Medicare yesterday for this cycle. Meds were about $1800ish including melatonin, hubbys compounded supplements and the scitropin. Charlottes about $900 in a cycle. Anethetist $100 for epu. Yeah enjoy the discounts cause you won't be getting any!

I don't know how much we'll get back from Medicare.
Trying to think of anything else? I bought giant bags of gogi berries and pumpkin seeds for hubby so that's another $35.
God it's never ending! kid isn't even born yet and it's taken all our money!!
