    Default Polymer clay

Would like to hear from others who have used polymer clay. I am thinking of getting some to make little charms, key rings etc. Think dd would enjoy it too. My questions are:
    - is it easy to mold
    - do different shapes stick well together
    - is it similar to using playdoh?
    - what brands do you recommend
    - does it break easily after it has been baked eg like ceramics?

I have tried air dry clay before and found it really messy and hard to use.

And if anyone would like to share some pics of what they have made that would be awesome

    Thanks in advance!

    Default Polymer clay

I use polymer clay as part of my business.
If you get a good quality clay it's easy to work with. It doesn't make much mess at all. It is quick to bake and I have no problems with it at all. It is quite strong and I have had no breakages.

I'd made some things with Fimo when I was young, but hadn't touched anything like it in years. Inspired by some terrarium miniature creatures at a market I gave it a go. I got Sculpey and DD and I made these1454068059030.jpg The spider is mine, the rest were by my almost 8yo. It was easy to work with but you get a reside of it on your fingers after a while making them sticky so we had to keep stopping to wash and dry hands. We didn't use any special tools just hands and back of fingernail to smooth joins.
