Default When did your LO thin out? Lose their belly?

Hi my little one has turned 3 and is noticeably still the chubbiest of her friends and has an obvious belly! All of her little friends have thinned right out but not her! Does this indicate a possibly chubby child or can I expect her to thin out soon? Thanks

My DS1 was a hugely chubby baby, 10kg by 6 months, 12kg by 12 months. He didn't completely thin out until he was about 5. He's 6 now and pretty average size.

All mine were thinned out once they started walking. Definitely by 18 months.

My kids have all varied...from keeping pot bellies until they were 5 (DH's family trait), to thinning out by the time they were three, or slowly thinning out all over from 3, and being thin all over at 4.
I was chubby until I was 4...I'm in my 30's and have been a size 8 my whole adult life (from whatever age it was I started to fit clothes). Don't stress.

My eldest 3 all thinned out between 1-2 years whereas DD4 has only just thinned out now, she'll be 4 next month.

Ive never really thought about it before.
Thinking back id say DD1 thinned out between 2&3 and DD2 a bit later but before 4.
DS thinned out much earlier as he is 2 now and has been quite slim for a long while

DS was a little Buddha until he was around 3-3.5. He's now a tall skinny thing, not even slightly stocky. DD was always a skinny thing and never had any toddler chub, and is still very slight at 3.

If you have concerns take her and see where she's is sitting on a growth chart and get BMI checked. DS2 was a 10 pound baby and now at 2.5y I worry he is too thin! I think it's good your concious of it. So many people are still calling it baby fat when the child is in primary school.😕
