Default Process steps WA, same sex iui

    Hello all

We have recently moved to Bunbury in the southwest. I have not yet seen a GP here in Bunbury. I'm guessing this will be our first step to getting a clinic referral? Are DRs open minded with same sex couples? And then what? Should we expect an 18month period before at least being able to get pregnant?

    any advice?

    all the happiness

Hi there, PIVET has a satellite clinic in Bunbury. You can have BT's & scans in Bunbury although you have to go to the Perth clinic for Dr's appts & procedures. I'm back there having a FET cycle right now.
Any other clinic will be all Perth based.
I don't have any info on same sex IUI, but give the girls at the Leederville clinic a call & they should be able to help you out with info on what to do first.
    Best of luck!

Hi there my sister has used concept in Subiaco for IUI same sex couple and I also used them for IVF and met quite a few same sex couples in the waiting room... So a very same sex friendly clinic there but if PIVIT has a satellite clinic in Bunbury might make life easier for you... I honestly don't think you will find any clinics have any problems with same sex couples! I know my sister and her partner had to wait 6 months before they could start

Hi, we used concept and they were amazing. You can have all of the blood tests at any pathology place in Bunbury and then travel to Perth for the other treatments. Not sure what the pivet satellite clinic offers but I can really recommend concept. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant. We had to wait 18 months from when we went on the list to receiving our potential donors but i think the wait time has decreased a bit since then 😊 also there is a same sex ttc group on here which is lovely and supportive, there are a few other couples from Perth and everyone has great advice.
