    Default First Gynaecologist appointment

    Hiya guys
It's been a long while since I've been on bubhub as I needed a break from ttc.
Today I finally got my referral appointment At the gyno and I seriously don't even know what to expect the appt was made as my doctor didn't know whether to send me to them or a fertility specialist so she did this one first
Can anyone tell me their first experiences?
    I also have PCOS
    Thanks

Most gynaecologist can do infertility work up and get base stuff prior to af methods done...personally I went straight to an ivf specialist, but he was a friend of my hubbies....hubby is an ob/gynae who doesn't do ivf at the moment and he's had quite a few pts get pregnant after the things he's been able to sort for them....

We went to a gyno first, mainly due to living in the country 4 hours from any other specialists. It was through the public system so appts were hard to get, lots of waiting etc.

He did a couple of tracking cycles, HSG test to check my tubes were clear, semen analysis, then advised us to go straight to a fertility specialist if we had the funds & private health insurance. No problems showed up from the initial tests.
The FS repeated all the tests so I felt like I had wasted 6 months of my life to be honest.
