This IVF caper is sooooo confusing. If we produce progesterone after an EPU, why do we invariably get put on it?

So pregnyl booster was on Tuesday morning and some of you said it stays in your system for a number of days. Well according to this, not for me. Should I speak to the nurse to let her know my body is rejecting the hcg or something? Attachment 78160

I don't know what I was thinking to poas. They are just Internet cheapies so maybe that's it? God I'm already driving myself mad.

I've either been on pregnyl/ovidrel (HCG) OR progesterone pessaries for fresh and FET. I haven't been on both at the same time.

I was on the pessaries usually as I was at risk of OHSS (which the HCG boosters would exacerbate) but with the stimulated FET they put me on the HCG boosters as they didn't blow up my ovaries as much as an EPU.
@Gagingi I think the HCG trigger only gets your progesterone high enough for so long then they give you the extra prog support as it leaves your system to give the embryo a chance to implant.

it's hard to see the pic. is it a negative? it sort of looks like a positive where the ^ arrows are. what dose pregnyl did you take? some people metabolise it faster. I can't remember exactly but I think it drops by half the dose/level each day (roughly) and depends what levels the sticks measure. they might not be sensitive enough? call your nurse/doctor in the morning if you're worried (though they'll probably not like the poas)

It's a negative @winsor and has been 3-4 days since a 1500 pregnyl booster. You're probably right about the sticks not being sensitive enough and my body metabolising it quickly as it seems to do that with most things. I'll just try to ignore it and keep going nutso quietly. Haha.

@Caesardust The cheapies are bad! I'm not sure my cheapies would have shown up the booster after 3 days. It is a head ***** and the lines fade in and out too. Drove me bananas testing it out.

Thanks truckloads for all of your input today girls. I have a much clearer idea what I'd do now if I find myself in that situation.

I did three cheap tests from fertility 2 U and all were BFN when I already had a Beta of 500 plus. I did s FRHPT it was positive and the clear blue said 2-3 weeks. They completely stink. Go get a FRHPT mega pack. Wait another 3 days or test each day to test the pregnyl out. Good luck xo
