Default Help! Baby girl name struggles

I've picked name Boudica for my DD since it has a strong meaning and it is a very rare name, but I'm still hesitant about it.

I think that is an awesome, awesome name! Also you could call her Boo for short which is about the most adorable nickname for a toddler ever.

It can be pronounced boo-dee-ka or bood-i-ka. I know the significance of the name because I have a degree in ancient history but you might find most people won't know it and might be hard to pronounce/remember.

Well as it's such an ancient name I don't think there's really an agreed pronunciation so that could actually be an issue. No one knows (not even Scholars) what dead languages sound like, exactly.

True. In my department at uni there were several pronunciations. My PhD supervisor wrote a book on her she said boo-di-ka.

What about Athena? Another kick a$$ ancient woman but with a more pronounceable name. It wouldn't be common, either.

I think it's an interesting name, however the fact that it's so open to interpretation in terms of pronunciation would turn me off using it.
