If he is the one to leave get a locksmith around first thing tomorrow. Also get into Centrelink and child support people and get that ball rolling.

    Yay!! Great start!

In fact, why not suggest he goes and doesn't return?!

Do not leave your kids. Please. Take them to a shelter - anywhere but there.

Do not leave your kids there, take them with you.

He will use you leaving the kids against you forever.

OP you cannot leave your kids. How will they cope without you? Their home is where you are. You must take them with you.

I know I'm chiming in late here, but.....I wouldn't worry right now that his name is on the lease. He has a duty to provide for those kids. If he is any sort of man he will leave the house, rather than have you separated from your children. If he's not that type of man, see if you can enlist the help of the boys in blue to get him out. I so wish you had family or friends close to make this easier on you

He sounds like a controlling @rsehole...why is your home in his name only? And I don't mean to make it sound worse, but if you leave the kids with him, I reckon he will do everything to make sure you don't get them back. It sounds like you have given up and just accepted that is how things are going to be for you. There are people that don't even know you (like me) that want better for you.

If you have nowhere to live, go to your local police station and tell them your situation ie need to leave your abusive husband and need an emergency place in a shelter.

Or phone the 1800 RESPECT number and tell them you need help.

Do not leave your kids behind.
