    Default Strange goings on

I've had a white lump up my right nostril is say for almost 10yrs, I tried to pop it once many years ago thinking it was a pimple but couldn't do it. Woke up this morning and the lump had popped and is now crusty and sore. I have Bactroban nasal ointment which I've put up there but is it worth getting the doc to suss it out?

It just never bothered me and I've had so many scans and blood tests I figured if it was never picked up as an issue it can't have been one. It might sound silly I get that but I have so many other health problems that a pimply looking thing up my nose just never got consideration.

If in doubt, get checked out. Perhaps find a gp who specialises in skin, or go for a skin check?

Tbh I would never have bothered getting it checked out if it never changed/grew etc.

My thoughts are maybe a cyst or something and it burst. I'd go to the dr. Does it hurt at all?

I'm with you- I have had a lump on the left side of my forehead for about 12 years. About 2 years ago my GP noticed it and wanted to check it out. Meh fair enough. It was found to be a bit of bone that had broken and calcified against another part of bone.
I said "Yeah, that happened when I was in a car accident x years ago. Drs said it would be unlikely to cause a problem so surgery wasn't deemed necessary."
Gp was like "why didn't you say".
Um because you flipped and organised all this stuff in 10 minutes without asking me....

So, yeah. Most people would have gotten it checked again but I didn't. Although, I knew what mine was....

It doesn't really hurt, it's a bit tender and feels tight as I guess it's opened up and there is a bit of blood or something there. I'll try and get an appointment tomorrow as nothing available today and just get it checked to make sure it heals ok.
