    Default What do you need to experience to truly understand?

    Much as we all try to understand everyone's struggles what do you feel can't be understood until you've lived through it.

    Gender disappointment
    Fussy kids - I don't have them and I really can't imagine how frustrating it would be when you've tried to do all the 'right things' to avoid it.

    Domestic violence

    Edit: I misunderstood the thread, I didn't realise it was about our own struggles. I haven't experienced DV and know that I don't understand it very well.

    Being a single parent (I had my judgement pants on a bit before I became one and also used the 'I'm like a single parent' line a few times... Very naive I was)

    I have been a single mum for a few years, it is a tough gig. I am so glad I have my DP now though
