Default Any Hubbers have wood flooring?

Hi ladies.. I'm 20, FTM and 25 weeks.. I have my own place. Which I LOVE.. Only, i can be a very meticulous person when it comes to cleaning.. And I haven't reached my nesting stage yet.. My home is all wood floors.. (Apart from three bedrooms) I mean the old, hand laid, every board is unique, wood floors.. Which I can never seem to keep dust free..!?! I try to mop every few days and sweep everyday.. I have a micro fibre broom thingy but that doesn't seem to make a difference.. As soon as I think I'm done I'll go put the broom away and come back into the room and there will be dust and debris on the floor again.. This is no exaggeration. I have a robot vac cleaner, which i try to put on every night before we go to bed and that helps a little..
I know that it's only a visual thing, as I disinfect when I mop and there's no food waste etc.. (Yet, that'll change when Bub is here 😀) but it really gets me blue sometimes.. I LOVE my home and take great pride in keeping it clean, tidy and clutter free but it's always seemed to me that a dirty floor makes a place look so much worse.. Im a firm believer in "Cleanliness is next to Godliness"... I would really appreciate any advice or help.. Thanks,
    Bits...

Highly unlikely aproblem with.the floor unless it is old and has cracks allowing dirt up from beneath. More likely to be dirt through windows or cracks in walls or ceilings. If you hae cracks / gaps where the ceiling wall junction is there is nothibg you can do unless you seal theae gaps

Dint know your order of cleaning but i alwayd lear floors first clwan everything else and wash / vacuum floors last

Floors are left till last.. I have gaps under doors and lots of windows.. I use door snakes as much as I can but as I'm not the only one who lives here, staying on top of things like that infuriate me.. 😁 I was considering getting some of those squigy things that screw on the bottom of the doors?..

Anything you do to seal the house will help. It sounds like the outside is your enemy

I have hard wood floors and do not have an issue

They are vaccumed and mopped weekly (sometimes twice)

    And we have 3 dogs.

Take heart in the fact that wood floors show up much more dust etc than tiles, lino or carpets. By being able to see it you're keeping your house much cleaner than it would be otherwise!

We use our dyson vacuum on our timber floors. Floors are about 100yo. Never had an issue. I'd suggest vacuuming rather sweeping, I find sweeping to be pretty ineffective!

I second that it's probably nothing to do with the floors being wooden but rather because in old houses often the door and window seals are not great. Maybe keep curtains / blinds closed when possible.

Agree that its a sealing issue- we have the same problem and are installing seals.

We have so many windows in this place, so lots of light means you can see dust particles everywhere... drives me nuts. But hey, I know my house is clean.
