Haha hello! Wine always an enticement to post

Another fan of Pikes Reisling here, and Jim Barry. Also really like Wynn's Riesling.

This thread is making want a glass of wine but I'm trying to have an alcohol free day!! I usually have NZ SBs but occasionally get a verdelho. I like the Tempus Two one. Not sure if that's to your taste, I don't know much about wine except that I like it!!

Another vote here for Chardonnay and Riesling. Contrary to popular believe Riesling is not sweet by definition, but types can be.

I also second the wine club option - vinomofo has awesome deals. They have other labels I think are made specifically for them, so if you know regions etc and use google you can often work out what vineyards they could be from. They often have cheeky names and are cheap as chips but delicious.

I'll out myself again and say my daily drink 😮 is de bortoli semillon Sauvignon blanc. Yes it's a cask. A 4L cask 😂 but I find it very easy drinking. If I were to buy bottles I like a straight semillon, a nice dry Riesling or a Pinot Grigio which I find quite mellow.
Also not a fan of Marlborough Sauvignon blanc I find it a bit cloying and gives me a headache.

Pig bag ha ha I'm drinking cask wine as I type so you are in good company. Mine is the Berri Rose' not too bad for $16 for 5 litres! 😆

    Try something local!

Our region is known for Chardonnay and Shiraz, but the Pinot Gris/Grigio is spectacular as is our Riesling. There is also a massive difference in local Sauv Blancs compared to NZ, but I'm totally off Sauv.

Also try Prosecco. When made well it is delish!
