    Default OPK question!!

So since Sunday I have been having 'so close but not quite positive' OPKs - Wednesday arvo I got a positive where the test line was slightly darker than the control line.

As this is a new brand I decided to keep testing and yesterday evening I got the strongest test line I have ever seen and it was easily twice as dark as the control. Last night I also had some serious cramping so figured I must have been ovulating at that point.

So my question is - is there a chance my positive on Wednesday was the real surge and my LH just really surged during ovulation or was Thursday night probably my positive and I will ovulate Friday or Saturday?

I guess I'm asking - from experience - is your first positive the start of the surge or is the strongest positive the start of he surge...

I'm only asking because hubby is on night shift this weekend and it will be harder to BD.

I don't know maybe just try as hard as you can to BD everyday for the next couple of days - maybe before he leaves for work every night?

In my OPK history I have found I get a 'mini' surge before the actual surge. If you google OPK progression it looks like I'm not the only one.

CM is a great way to know if/when you ovulated, EWCM right before/during ovulation then it will turn creamy once you have O'd 👍🏼

    Hope that helps.

Thanks @SandGroper - I have been taking clomid and an unfortunate side effect is I don't have ewcm. Which has made it harder.

Plus I can't temp as im up several times a night so I rely on these sticks. I have just never seen a positive followed by an even stronger positive.

I can't temp either so rely on OPKs/CM.

I know it's expensive but what about a clearblue fertility monitor? You can get them off eBay pretty cheap?
