If you're after good schools look at this guide, http://www.familiesmagazine.com.au/e...ogan-redlands/

If your husband works at the Gabba then I suggest a Southside location if catching public transport. He can get a bus to Buranda then transfer out if going on busway. Otherwise any suburb along the 200 bus route for east.

If driving then Northside locations with Clem 7 access.

Thanks everyone. We are starting to look at different suburbs in the next week or so.

Hoping to be no more than a 45 minute commute to work at the Gabba, not sure if it will be via car or train yet but being on the train line will definately be a bonus anyway.

We are planning to have a look around the master planned community Springfield area - is anyone familiar with this area?

An added bonus would be easy access to the Gold Coast as we are water people - so are also going to look around Pimpama area. But guessing this commute could get out of control at peak hour too?

I lived at coorparoo ( basically next suburb over) and it sometimes took 25mins just to get to the Gabba
If he's driving in peak I suggest aprox 15 km radius from the city to allow for traffic.

Springfield by train is doable but I wouldn't drive it. The drive is over 30mins without traffic.

Any suburb near the pacific ( pac) motorway will be an easy commute to the Gold Coast: Holland Park, taragindi, Mansfield/ Wishart, carindale all have great schools, close enough to Gabba
