Default Stretch & Sweep Success Stories?

    Hi all,

I'm 37+6 today and due to having GD and baby's abdominal circumference being in the 95th percentile, they're inducing me early.

Today I had an internal and was found to be 1cm dilated but cervix 2cm long, was soft but in a posterior position. Baby is 4/5 engaged. She did a stretch and sweep while she was there, has anybody had success with this?

I'd like to avoid the Foley's catheter induction on Tuesday if possible, I've heard some really awful stories

If your cervix comes forward a bit, there should be no reason why they can't just break your waters on Tuesday.

I had a stretch and sweep done twice with my second because things needed to get a move on due to the immense pain I was in with my hips. It took two days and constant bouncing on a fit ball and the end of my bed but it moved things along enough they could break my waters for me. Good luck.

S&S did zip. Absolutely zip. Rotating for 5hrs on the fitball did the trick 3x.

Only worked for me after 40weeks. With number 2, she was born 14 hours after the sweep.

Stretch and sweeps did nothing for my first two, but seemed to help with my third. I was getting them every second day with my third.
