    Hello everyone

wow tegs great line and now have blood test. congrats re progesterone, I was told you can't have too much.

    jensdream how's things going?

    Ohhh Stacey how exciting

well we we saw the ob today and got results. Things looking ok my side but hubby tunel assay not good, result was 49.2% cut off is 30% and indicates significant level sperm dna fragmentation. So we will see what Anna has to say and whether we also now go with a sperm donor. Ob said this is not a test usually done in Aus so not much knowledge here yet. And the issue is here in Aus they do not do this test on donor sperm so even if you go with a donor you may have the same issue. We will see what Anna and DrM have to say.

    a step closer now.

    Good luck to everyone.

    Deb

    hi everyone,
I have been on Greece and CT and over 40s forums for a while but only recently started reading this thread....

As of today - just found out BFN for my natural cycle (devastated!) - so we will now go for ED and need to make decision ASAP about clinic/country...

I had a couple of questions about the meds they ask us to go on at Zlin - just wondering if any of you have questioned them on those meds as I am really concerned to put anything toxic in me (spent a lot of time trying to detoxify!).....

An article I read said women are not to take diphereline?
The second one Estrimax 2mg 3x28 tabs I’m oestregon dominant and have recently started on progesterone 400mg troches – so taking more oestrogen?? hmmm
The third one - Utrogestan - as I’m on 400mg bio identical progresterone Troches would I still require this?
The fourth - Prednison - is that just in case I have some infection?
And finally - Anopyrin - can you explain why I’d be on aspirin?

Not sure if these are reasonable questions or not - I'm not in a very happy place today - but really want to start getting ready for DE!

And one last question if any of you know.... They've told me earliest is Sept/Oct- is that usually the time - I was so hoping to do something sooner!

thank you all for your time in reading this and sorry it's all about me!

I apologize if these have been discussed in the past - I haven't gone too far back in the thread.

@Rhino doing donor eggs is completely differnt to oe cycles, they use the down regulation injection to put your ovaries into a menopause state, they don't want them functioning at all, because of this you have not natural estrogen or progesterone, so you supplement this with the estrogen and progesterone, the estrogen builds your lining then the progesterone changes the lining to support a pregnancy. Because your not making it yourself, you take theses up until wk 12 of pregnancy. The asprin is used to thin the blood so no clots which can impact on implantation and also helps with implantation, the prednisone is to help the body accept the embryo, you are only on these last 2 for about 10 days this is a very simple but good protocol they have and it is much much easier on the body than doing an o/e cycle. You need to trust the clinic as they really do know what they're doing and get good results A 3 ish month wait is normal as they have to get you to send it test results, get you to send in your requirement for your donor then organise your donor and get you ready to cycle
