Default Egg Donation in The Czech Republic #3

Thanks everyone it's nice to see some people around my age. I just need to get past the age thing myself. I guess it would not be so complicated if I had not lost my parents. I also did not have grandparents as they passed before I was born. But hopefully my husbands parents will be around for some time yet.

Could I ask some advice? We are on a waiting list for embryo donation here. Would you accept a donor that embryos were frozen about 19yrs ago? One child was born from that batch and has mild CP. Donors were 37 and 51 (back in 97). I have been trying to find some research on how long embryos should be frozen for but there really isn't anything specific in face seems that they should be able to be frozen for a long time if not indefinitely. I don't know though. Would you consider it?

@HFAM congrats on your pregnancy. This was a result of a successful trip to Zlin?

@lozza my only concern would be that the freezing method obviously wasn't as good back then so they may not survive the thaw, and honestly I'd balk at the age, at least with the zlin embryos the donors are under certain age and they're day 5, I'm sure those ones would only be day 3 as day 5 is relatively new. If you only have one go, then no, I'd stick with zlin . Actually I obviously have more than the one concern

    Hi everyone
@lozza, I would choose the option that will give the better chances and that would be going to Zlin, in my view. But probably depends on other factors, like price etc.
To answer your question, we were lucky enough to succeed the first try (first try for egg donation because we've done 4 ivfs before). And it was through Zlin clinic. I also had the help of dr M for the immune issues.

Tegs and Stacey, you must be so excited.

Afm, all is good, almost too good to be true. Baby is head down and all ready for birth. Feeling really good, maybe a little bit emotional. Nursery and the house are almost ready. Hubby did an amazing job in the last few days. Still can't believe that this is real and is happening to us.

Thanks Ladies, there were a few things that bothered me too. It's a bit of a shame but I guess we just continue on with Zlin plans.

Hello ladies, I have a question which obviously feel free to answer or not. I went to see a fertility psychologist last week and she had some issues with the Europe programs because they don't supply any information to the child about bio parents. So down the track if I had a child and that child wanted to know something about the donors they would not be able to find out. I had already thought of this but I guess she has got me thinking again. Is it selfish to bring a child into the world when they can never find out anything about their bio family? I was wondering what your thoughts are ladies. Did you struggle with this yourself or do you see it as an issue? I guess most if not all of your are just using donor eggs so it's only half an issue of me it's donor embryo so no bio connection to me or my husband.

Like I said if you want to comment please do and I am not judging anyone else for their decision this is a personal issue and completely up to each person about how they handle such things.
