You'll probably need to go on the pill for a couple of months before hand, they use that to quieten your ovaries, then on cd1 that your doing the transfer you'll start estrogen, they may get you to start your clexane then, then 5 days before transfer you'll start your progesterone, prednisone and probably baby asprin. I got my estrogen and prednisone here but if you need to, buy all the progesterone that you will need from the clinics pharmacy, as it's much nicer than the stuff you get here and as I've said so much cheaper. They usually do the fets around cd19-24 ish I think. I'm doing a medicated fet, which they don't usually do because they like to keep the costs down for the fets for the ladies. I've 2 left, and yes they're from my fresh cycle, already stressing about them

Thanks Stacey. I don't know that my ovaries need to be any quieter. They are pretty quiet already! I received an email from Anna tonight. Are you able to explain the tests to me?
    1. thyroid panel hormones (on any day of the cycle): TSH, free T4 + Prolactin
2.Vaginal ultrasound – regular check before medical preparation (on any day of the cycle)
3.STD: HIV 1/2, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis (all STD tests must not be older than 12 month by the day of planned embryo transfer)

I have already got HIV, Hep B & C. Are all the other ones just blood tests? Also the ultrasounds is this done as you are approaching the time you want to do the cycle?

Did you work with an FS here in Australia before going over? I guess I should make an appointment to go and see him and fill him in on the plans.

@lozza I just worked through my gp, he ordered the blood tests for me and the u/s, all the tests are just blood tests and your gp should dothem for you. U/s is just to check that your uterus is looking ok and has no fibroids/polyps etc that could hinder implantation. My ovaries are non existent and I need to take the pill lol

Appointment went well today, but not good for the bank balance. To put it in Dr Ms words, we are doing the kitchen sink treatment. I told him this will be last try. He is talking about maybe doing LIT. Never heard of it before, they take blood from hubby, do something with it, then inject it in to me. The idea is that my body then gets used to hubby Dna to help stop my body fighting the embryo. He is also talking about neupogen before transfer, ivig as soon as positive result then on to intralipids. All that plus the same as last year, high dose prednisone, clexane, high progesterone etc. he will decide after test results come back. He has added another test - coeliac hla genotyping, dr, dq - on top of the tests zlin requested. Same tests for hubby.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I've been away from the forum lately. @sunshine hope that you recover quickly and get the strenght to start all over. I had a d&c and phisically I didn't have any issues and recovered really well. Hope you'll be the same. @Tegs and @Stacey I can't believe you're so close. I bet you're really excited. @lozza good luck with your plans. @Deb trust dr m and do whatever is necessary. I'm sure your time will come soon.
    Hi to everyone else.

We're going ok, almost 33 weeks. We're really excited and trying to get everything ready. I'm having an appointment tomorrow and see how we go. I really wanted a natural birth, but 2 weeks ago the baby was still breech and the placenta was still a little bit low. So fingers crossed things are better tomorrow. But I'm trying not to worry much. What will be will be.

    Take care of you ladies.

@HFAM take a look at the spinning babies website that will give you some things to do to help bub turn, also acupuncture can help turn babies as well @Deb my girlfriend had everything bar the LIT, Professor Gorgy in london does that all the time, will be interesting to see how you go, and the results of the latest tests you've had, keep us updated @Tegs we have 7 wks until we fly out but I think we just miss each other as we're travelling for 2 before transfer

@Stacey thank you for the advice. Spot on as usual 😊. Yes, I knew about spinning babies and trying the positions and exercises already. We'll see.
    Have a great day ladies!

Id just let them know at your consultation with the Dr about the family history of dvt and see what they say, I'm going to bring it up then because of the long haul, flights and the age thing, even a small dose until a hopeful Bfp

    Hi everyone

lozza my first attempt I tried just going through GP, but had problems with the bum jab and just not understanding things so hesitant to prescribe things or even give me the jab. Last time and this time I am going through a fertility specialist. I don't think my GP would refer me for all the tests. I have a FS locally, who although is still on the fence re intralipids etc he will still work with me on this, and Dr M in Sydney.

Hfam, getting close. You must be getting very excited.

stacey, the bum jab soon. Exciting time for you too.

sunshine hope you're doing ok and looking after yourself.

    hope everyone is doing well.

    deb
