Zoladex is a restricted benefit so GP not really supposed to write it.
This is the official PBS just read the highlighted in red

I guess that they could but would then be non PBS and more $$
As for giving the injection, anyone who has given it before and has good technique! Otherwise it is painful

ECM1981 I will be there the same time 6th June - 18th June. I have my first lining scan on 6th June with transfer scheduled for around 13th June.

Just organizing my medication with Repromed here in Adelaide as I wanted to keep my current doctor involved. She understand all of my issues and has a few suggestions for medication as I have high ANAs and has suggested a blood thinner too due to the high estrogen as it can cause clots so just a s a precaution.

Need to find a count down to add to my profile until we go

I am one of Wazza's patients but he is soon on holidays. Wondering if any Perth Gals had had an endometrial scratch and or lipoidal wash in Perth.. Done by a specialist locally.. Rather than flying interstate to have done by their regular FS. I want to transfer my last embie next month but have decided to have this procedure to increase my chances.. But looking at local FS as an sick of all the travel.

Hooray, preferred donor says she still wants to do it. We're still looking at July 5 to head over to SA, if the donor's screening goes to plan.

I transferred a bucketload of money to SA today via international bank transfers (CFC and donor agency). Any ideas on how long it will take to clear? Maybe 3-5 days?

There is a lot of 'hurry up and wait' in this process, isn't there?
Not as bad as IVF though :-)

What dose are you starting on @ECM1981? You may get diarrhoea for the first 3 days or so which is why taking it at night can be helpful, as can starting it on a weekend so you're close to a loo! As you know, I was pretty ill but that's because I started on 1000mg. Once I halved it and started taking it in the morning (Gwenyth's advice) I tolerated it much much better. Good luck!
Thanks so much for the Zoladex advice @Itwilhappen, much appreciated. I rang my FS today to see if she could prescribe it. I'm just waiting to hear back. I love your tip about getting someone to inject it who is experienced! Where does it actually get injected into?

Looks like we might be there at the same time!
Yes, I'm really struggling with the waiting for everything! Just want to get it happening. I've only just got all our test results back, was waiting for a while to get them all so hopefully can now get on track. Our donor should be having all her testing now. Hopefully!
Good luck with your donors screening.

Thanks @ECM1981 ... will give him a call tomorrow and find out.
@Tahli =... I have begged a local fertility clinic to scan me... they did and only charged me $75 as it was the nurse who did it. Was a scan only for follicles and lining thickness.. not the whole kit. I have also been to Global Diagnostics (Kwinana clinic in WA) and they were a bulk billing clinic...so cost me nothing. Did have students watching and took twice the time though. Only a handful of their clinics bulk bill.

@ECM1981 I'd do 500mgs for a week before upping it to 1000mgs. But you know your body best and how you're tolerating it. Due to the appetite suppressing effect you'll be buying less groceries that's for sure! I'm going to start back on 500mgs this Friday so I have the long weekend to cope with any possible side-effects.
@kylie764 I wonder if there's a bulk billing clinic in Melb? Because I have lining issues I'd like to get multiple scans before the next transfer but at $165 a pop it soon starts to add up.
Good news from CFC. Gestone is back in stock!!
