Default Egg Donation in South Africa #12

I think I may have had them for my last OE cycle, but can't quite remember.
I believe it's because there is a theory (?) (Others can correct me if I get this wrong) that we sometimes constantly carry/pass between DH and ourselves a small level of infection which is just enough to stir up our body's immune reactions and stop a BFP. By both taking the antibiotic at the same time it quells this reaction. It was mentioned to me by someone else and I asked Wazza about it and he immediately wrote me a script ( as he does ) - again it's one of those 'easy fix' things that doesn't cause any side effects or harm.

    What is a KED cycle?

@mummy2016. I'm really sorry for your BFN. We used EDSA & had a great experience with them. I truly believe you will get there. Just keep going & stay strong it is only a matter of time. You are determined to be a mother & you will get there.

I was chatting with one of the gorgeous BH girls yesterday about the possibility of her donating her remaining precious embryos to me. I rang CFC and they confirmed that her ED had reached her family limit of 6 babies. This of course meant that her embryos could no longer be donated to another woman.
I also asked about the formalities when donating embryos and was told that "we would require signed consent forms indicating the couples intent to donate their embryos to you". So that bit sounds easy enough.
I hope sharing this info helps some-one else in the future.

(And thank-you from the very bottom my heart to the super kind and thoughtful BHer who contacted me re her embryos. )

Just jumping on from the Czech thread, I hope you don't mind
For those of you who are having repeated failure to implant and have done immune testig etc to rule that out you may want to consider ERA (endometrial receptivity array ) testing, it's a relatively new test and requires a uterine biopsy done on certain days of your cycle to check when the best day to put the embryos back in the uterus, apparently not everyone's is the stock standard day 5 etc, having quite a lot of success, hope this helps some of you x

@Tahli what happens if my donor reaches her family limit before i get a positive result? If i am her 5th donation and she gets successful twin births from her previous donations can i still use her to complete my family? Because by the time i get to my 2nd child a few more may have been born to the other recipients? Do you know much about this? Goodluck in your new quest, i have been thinking it might be nice to sharr a donor so any future children might be able to contact children of same genetic makeup, if they ever feel lost about where they came from. I keep struggling with the thought that my future children my despise me for using an anonymous donor

@ECM1981 Sorry hun, I should have been clearer. You will be able to use your embryos created from this cycle for as long as you like, even if your ED reaches her 6 baby family limit. They're yours to use for as long as you like.
You just can't gift them to another woman (recipient).
It's such a shame, as so many embryos must go to waste, that otherwise could have been donated.
How many weeks now til your CF results are back?

Ok thanks @Tahli. Yes such a shame with all the good embryos left over. Still 3.5 weeks minimum of waiting. Always waiting for something i hope she is going to be ok to donate, she has done back to back donations since November. But you cant reserve donors only for yourself unfortunately. I wish i could have said please dont donate anymore until after me but from the time i requested her she had time to add one, maybe 2 more donations in.
