Greenlady I'm sorry this journey has made you more worried than anything, I think we do it because we get so used to the disappointment and we just can't imagine putting ourselves through it again and again. But in reality this is the best shot yet (if I'm remembering correctly) so why can't it be your turn. Everything crossed for you to end this chapter and start the next with 2 pink lines and a beautiful HCG xoxo

Heyside YAAAAAAAAY for Friday EPU!! Everything is falling into place, this just has to be the one xoxo

MrsC hope everything works out well with your GD. Before you know it your babies will be here!! crazy huh! And my LO is nearly 3 weeks already and I still don't believe it's all worked and that he is mine to keep! No more ivf or peeing on a stick or waiting for the next safe point. Xoxo

Keiko OMG yay for wiggles and kicks! I'm sure he is talking to his IVF buddies. Hello beautiful boy!
Make sure you post a pic from your 20 week scan!! Halfway! 💖💙💖💙

Stillhopeful - wow 3 weeks that time has flown!

Kel - the kicks are amazing and very reassuring. I loved every moment that my girls gave kicks.

Heyside - fingers crossed you get 14 that sounds like a great haul!

Greenlady - sorry to hear you are feeling anxious about your embryo. Take your time to get your head in a good place. I did a cycle once when my mum was in hospital for cancer treatment and that was by far my worst cycle. So I honesty believe your mental state can affect ivf.

Afm - well tomorrow I see Wazza and he'll either tell me we can do iui or if dh's swimmers are particularly sh!t then we will be off to see BBIVF. I'm feeling stressed and anxious to be honest. I've had a crazy busy few days and both of my dd's have been on their worst behaviour. So of course, I'm questioning whether I should put myself through all of this. I also had a mild panic last night stressing about affording a 3rd. I know we can, but sometimes I get these silly thoughts.

@nicole83 - Good luck with your Wazza appointment tomorrow really hoping its good news for you and you can try the iui, has your DH had issues in the past? We all have days like that hun dont let it put you off, we have had major issues with DD's behavior over the last few months and we questioned ourselves too but things have calmed down again now thank goodness just a phase, as for the money its supprising how me can manage sometimes.

@Heyside Thinking of you this morning – hope EPU goes smoothly and you’re not too sore afterwards. With the GD, it’s mainly keeping to low GI stuf, and watching how my carbs are distributed throughout the day. Plus *maaaaybe* cutting back on the obscene amounts of chocolate I have been consuming. Oops

@nicole83 Good luck with your appointment. Let us know how you get on!

@Green lady I can understand feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of the FET. Just wait until you feel ready, I reckon. That lovely emby will be waiting for you whenever that ends up being.

@Keiko2012 How lovely that you can feel your little guy now! I agree – it’s very reassuring to get those thumps and wriggles. I’m glad the work stuff went ok too. We’ll most likely end up with a c/s, but at this point we’re still waiting to see how things pan out. A lot will depend on how the bubs are positioned closer to the time – if baby A is not head down then it’s an automatic c/s, but if she is, it’s up for discussion. I’m not too hung up either way to be honest - I just want them here and healthy!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies, I found out on Wednesday that I only scraped above the normal range in my glucose tolerance test by 0.1! The normal range is up to 8.4 and I got 8.5 at the two hour mark. Never mind, there’s no harm in keeping an eye on it and eating really well for the next couple of months in any case. My BSLs have been perfect so far, so fingers crossed they stay that way as long as possible.

Quick update from me, we expected 12-14 eggs and Warren gave me a boost of fsh for some smaller ones to catch up on Wednesday. Cant believe we have just got the most eggs so far - 29, I am in shock as I wasn't feeling as bloated this time. Presuming some will probably be too small. I suppose we will wait and see how we go.

Omg 29!!??????? That's crazy @Heyside! Hoping you are feeling ok and OHSS stays at bay so you can transfer your Frozen embie! Eek! That's crazy?! I don't understand how wazza seems to think there's less and then there's always more. My fs is pretty spot on with the number expected vs retrieved. Any woo doesn't matter! All done now. Rest up Hun- hope you aren't feeling too sore! Xx

Thanks everyone for your well wishes - I really appreciate it!
@Heyside - great haul! Fingers crossed for great fert results tomorrow!

had my FS appointment and it was good. Went through the options for transfer and discussed success rates with each in the last 12 months. The clinic has had about equal success rates with the hrt protocol and natural cycle transfers. On balance for me decided to go with a natural cycle with HCG shot on day of transfer and progesterone support. If lining doesn't come up to scratch then I'll cancel the cycle. Can't afford to waste my only good embie on a less than optimum lining.

    Default Brisbane IVF'ers #3

Greenlady - sounds like you have a good plan.

Heyside - wow 29 is a wonderful haul! I've had ohss twice - with both pregnancies and here are my tips: obvs drink loads of water but get dh to buy you a massive watermelon and spend time munching on that. It's another easy way to add more fluid. Also water ice blocks are good, for something other than boring water.

Afm - well my appointment with Wazza didn't go so well. As you know I was hoping for iui but he told me dh's swimmers were very low (about 5 million) and motility not so great and would give us a success rate of about 5% if we did iui. He also said if we did iui he would insist on checking my tubes and possibly flushing them and that would be done under a general or an X-ray type procedure where they flush me with dye. So logically it doesn't really make sense for me to do iui when I add all costs together and invasion with the tube check I may as well go straight back to ivf. So I guess I will be calling BBIVF soon and moving over to them.

I'm feeling very sorry for myself tonight. I know I need to snap out of it...but kinda annoyed that I took the day off work and spent $250 for the pleasure of Wazza telling me pretty much what I knew I should do anyway. Dh was the one pushing for a Wazza consult first before heading to BBIVF. I know there's no one to blame but feeling angry falling into this same sh!tty situation yet again.
