I know you ladies are right Google is not my friend and I try very hard to stay away but it draws me in every time especially as I have to lie down 3 times a day with the pessaries and my phone is just there. Not good though i trawl through the same info looking for any signs of hope.

Yes it was a nice relief to speak to someone so openly today. Turns out we had both used the same clinic initially and she had an awful experience. Just to sit there and open up was a great feeling, lets just say there were a few tears shed for each other throughout the experience.

As much as I say & encourage to stay away, I should probably take some of my own medicine at times... Understand completely!

Haha, easy trap to fall into isn't it, I have advised others of the same thing but hard to take own medicine.

Oh no, sorry I haven't listened to any IVF ones!! I don't even know if there are any, probably are. There are so many.

So @Tinachris you mean general podcasts to keep your mind away from the ivf stuff? Might be a good idea for me as even when I try and watch the tv to keep my mind away from things I turn to the American show 'rattled' with the ivf mum who conceived quads, I just cant stay away lol!

Yes @Heyside I overthink it as it is, so I listen to other things.

What’s everyone’s view on blood/sample results being forwarded from one FS/IVF to other clinics? Is this allowed, or how do I go about it?

Reason I ask is I had my follow up appointment with the FS this morning following the laparoscopy 3.5 weeks ago and he is of the belief IVF is our route when we choose to (he’s not the IVF doctor we’ve been intending to use, I simply used this one for expediency re: the lap as he’s on the coast and that’s where we live now).

When he started talking about IVF (not being aware we had already made this decision, or forgetting as I did mention it prior to the lap), he advised there’s a number of blood/sample tests we’ll need to have re-done. I told him we’ve had those requested last week in addition to the number of extra tests for Dr M. The last lot was done a few years ago now and several of the tests requested weren’t included in that lot.

Anyway, can I call Life Fertility in Brisbane and request when the samples come through they’re to go to him (second opinion)?

I know I could have easily asked him for the request slips but for one DH isn’t too fussed on doing a second SA himself, and given the number of vials we both had taken – incorporating Dr M’s tests – and the fact they were only done last week we figure why not use these? If we can?

Hi ladyr I recently changed specialists and I got a medical records request from off the new specialist, filled it out and faxed it to the old specialist. They forwarded bloods and sperm test results to the new specialist. Didn't forward his clinical notes or info my previous cycles but I could fill the new specialist in anyway. They had the test results within a week or so. You should be able to request the same form off your new specialist so you can request the old tests.
