@Tinachris @midnite01 Im doing 1200 calories per day. I plug it all into the myfitnesspal app and make sure I stay within the calorie count most days. If I go over its not usually by much and if we go out then I tend to have what I want but maybe dont have brekky or dont have dinner if its a big lunch etc. The weird thing is for the first time, Im hardly doing any exercise, as usually Ive tried losing weight by running like a demon or walking big inclines on the treadmill and not doing too much focus on the food. Obviously the food part is the most important bit, for me anyway. I could be losing more if I was more strict with always being within the 1200 and doing more exercise but its working for me as it is and Im not feeling like its hard. I need something where I can sustain it for a long period as Im not very good with never having any treats, in fact most days I have a choc paddlepop for dessert as they're only 79 cals and if we have fish and salad for dinner Im easily within the 1200. Ive gotten used to eating less and if i get hungry in between meals i have a tea or coffee or some fruit or vita weats with vegemite. So brekky with an egg on toast with butter, 2 cups of tea and a mid morning skim cap and its only around 315 or so cals. Also the trick is not having meat at lunch, as that cuts down calories, and choosing lower calorie fruits also, strawberries are great, in fact I think most berries are good. Making most of your meals at home is a big factor too so you can know whats in them and keep the cals down as much as possible. Any exercise adds on and means you can eat more calories.

Cool. I use mfp as well but think ive been eating too much fruit as im.normally over my sugar by the end of the day. I usually have 150g of plain fullfat greek yoghurt with 1/2 cup bluberries weak skim latte morning tea and banana lunch usually homemade rice salad with vegies in it aft tea usually apple and dinner meat and vegies. I dont eat much meat though. I think i might need to upp my nut intake during the day i think.

That's great @tuxcat ! I'm doing a smoothie in morning with berries, linseed (balances hormones) rice milk. It has been filling me up till lunch if I add a banana to it.
Lunch a piece of rye with vegemite and butter. Vitawheats and tomato etc. dinner veg meat or pasta whole meal or salad and protein. I'm just eating WAY better than I have before. I'm not being as strict as you and counting calories, so I guess that is why I'm not loosing. Oh I'm also a sweet tooth addict so been making bliss balls to snack on when I'm craving sweet stuff. Hubby even likes them too.

yeah i think too much fruit too. I used to need a banana for morning tea but now Ive gotten used to eating less and space out the coffee and tea so it holds off any eating. I snack on strawberries or other fruit in mid morning or after lunch. An egg for breakfast is good as its protein and keeps me going. Also popcorn is a good snack and the little cans of cascade lime and soda mixes are 31cals so i have one of them with dinner some nights when Im over drinking just water. Sounds like you're eating really well though. I havent lost the weight in huge amounts but its steady and coming off and i can now feel and see the difference which inspires me to keep going
