@Twiglets & @Krissy74 welcome! You'll find lots of support & good advice on here, and plenty of laughs. Good luck to you both.
@Tahli sounds like you're getting a plan sorted. I think the way you talk about it, you would really regret not doing one more OE cycle. As someone else said, CT isn't going anywhere, so go for it I think!

@BiB hope you're LO is on the mend today. Sounds like a rough night. Fingers crossed it's only a 24 hour bug, and you don't get it.

Hi gals, sorry been out to a egg donation meet up. It was so good to see couples having found their donors.

Welcome @Twiglets, I hope this TWW goes quickly for you
@Krissy74 so sorry for your loss sounds like a good idea to get another cycle under your belt before using the frozen embryos
@Gagingi yeah I got graves *just* before I got preggers, not the best timing and wasn't picked up for a couple of months
@Charlie74 yeah, I had no idea either but the test my first FS did picked it up. Maybe LB or a GP can refer you to an endocrinologist and they can keep an eye on everything separate to your FS? My endocrinologist has said I'm in remission and wouldn't need to see her so often or be on the thyroid meds if it wasn't for IVF so I hope to come off it all eventually but still have check ups once a year or so.

@Billie2 from my understanding it is when a lady freezes eggs for later use, when a single woman without fertility issues has a baby, lesbian couples where there are no gynaeological reasons for carrying partner's infertility, and couples freezing embryos for future use if there are no fertility issues. They don't get any Medicare rebates or PBS-funded medications. I don't know if they get PHI rebates either. So a IVF costs a bomb.

Personally I think it is outrageous that we're not all treated the same by our health system as women using social IVF need IVF as much as anybody else - they just don't have access to sperm or cannot afford a baby right now for "social" reasons.

Well in totally unrelated ivf news i gernied off my verandah and my patio today so feeling accomplished. Im still debating in my head what to do if i should go again? And if i should either OE with Wazza or DE in SA. I did find out at my cheap ivf place that thanks to new medicare changes there will be an extra $85 per cycle i think. Not sure how this effects more expensive clinics.
