@JulieMalooley - I had GD in the past. I had to inject insulin to control it. It's not the worst thing to get in a pregnancy but it did result in a 4.35 kg baby! ( not delivered naturally I might add). I got it even though I didn't tick any of the risk factors for it. My sister who has a very high BMI didn't get it in her pregnancy last year. It's unpredictable I think. I'd be chugging down that yoghurt!

Haha, yes she did. Ouch. Definitely just the one!
Just had a burger and chocolate milkshake to celebrate with my partner. STILL doesn't feel real!

I'll give my FS a handshake when I see him tomorrow although I think it's my donor who probably deserves the most credit, I'm catching up with her on the weekend at one of EDAs meet ups. Big hug due I think.

I understand it can all go pear-shaped very quickly, but I agree with the others that eventually you have to strike the golden egg.

As a side note, I personally am just IN AWE of someone at 'our age' being able to produce so many follies! When I was talking to my FS I suggested that I would be happy with 3, lol.

Perhaps I should set my bar higher

And I replied that on my last CT cycle I wanted to ditch all my extra meds except folic acid & only take what ever was absolutely essential for a ED FET. Well, low and behold, that's exactly what LB has just suggested this morning. Tears ran down my face with relief.

I do remember that conversation @Tahli, and I think about it often. Whilst there are some things that definitely need to be included - Folic acid, good quality multivitamin - unless a BT reveals that you have other hazardous health concerns I think doing a cycle with as little intervention as possible is a refreshing idea.

That's not to take away from all the ladies who have had success with other treatments, but if you've already tried everything what's to say a basic, natural approach might not be successful? Perhaps giving you poor body a rest from as many chemicals as possible might actually increase your chance of success!

The fact that we are all 'old' is not lost on me. But I look at my sister and other women around me trying to have babies and they get pregnant without all the hoop-la. Personally, I like to take as few interventions as possible when it comes to meds. That's not to say you wouldn't find me hooked up to intralipids if my FS said it would help, but you get my drift
