@Chiefsgirl I'm glad you're feeling better and that the bug is on it's way out!
@faithandhopellove I'm so happy for your great results!! That is such good news and much be a huge relief. Thank goodness that is over, you know your babies are OK and hopefully now you can start to enjoy being pregnant for a bit
@faithandhopellove oh my god that is fantastic news!!! So relieved for you! I'd be having the champers anyway
Tahli I'm not sure when I start doing the pregnyl. They have only told me to do the puregon til Tuesday when I have my first scan. Then I think I'll do the pregnyl shots and then a trigger. Not entirely sure. I'm also going to use the sandrena gel I have left over from the lovely @JulieMalooley to also try and bump up my lining. They also said they would give me progynova if need be too. I'm finally feeling like my clinic wants this to work!
One birth story and baby photos, and one pregnancy announcement in my inbox today - isn't it just the worst? Happy for them, but so damn envious it isn't funny
Regarding adoption, it does look really difficult in Australia, especially with the foster leading to adoption program. I couldn't imagine getting attached to a child and then having them taken away and given back to their biological parents. *Shudder*
I spoke more today with my friend who did the international adoption in the Philippines and it was really good to get more info. She said any child 7 or over, and siblings, are placed in the special needs category and their adoptions are fast tracked. Which is how she ended up with her little boy within a year from applying. I spoke to DH tonight (I told him I didn't want to talk IVF or DE until with the counselor) but I wanted to talk about adoption and we are both of the same mind that adopting an older child (likely children as we would take siblings) is a definite for us - whether we have our own child or not. So I'm really excited about that path opening up for us. The age of the child depends on the youngest parent, and there is to be no more than a 45 year gap. So at 46 years old we can adopt a 1 year old, at 47 years old a 2 year old etc.
We won't be able to start that process until we finalise OE or DE, so it's a little way off, but just knowing that it is possible to have my rainbow family is making my heart sing today! Well, singing around the baby announcements that is!
