Precious 40 .. sorry that your numbers are going down hun. Big hugs to you. I have gone through that, so I exactly know hoe it feels. Just hope some miracle happens at your next bt. Xoxo

Yes ladies .. it's very hard being surrounded by pregnant ladies everywhere. Yesterday in LB'S office three pregnant ladies came out of her rooms... may be it was their 7 week scan ..All of them were carrying 'mummy to be' bags. I felt happy for them , but at the same time .. why not us thoughts come in mind as well ...

I had to visit some friends of ours at the weekend with their 5 day old baby. They are 43 and 45 respectively , first child, unplanned and blissfully ignorant as to the struggle of trying to have a baby at this age. The baby was asleep although she wanted to give her to me to hold anyway! I declined as I didn't want to wake the baby but I actually didn't want to hold or smell a newborn to be honest. Didn't bother DH in the slightest as he's very much in the camp of another child would be great but I'm happy with our life even if that doesn't happen.

@Charlie74 - that would be why my FS just showed me the report on the screen rather than give me a copy!

Thats good news about the costs - I have to cough about $9k upfront on Friday before EPU. Eek.

Re your lining - the fact that menopausal or post menopausal women can become pregnant through IVF (e.g Sonia Kruger) gives me some confidence that in pre menopausal women, with medication, lining can be sufficiently built up for a successful FET. My lining has been variable - in my first cycle it was 14mm on day of trigger ! Then the second cycle it was 8 something so I'll be interested to see where it's at tomorrow which is day of trigger. Even if your lining only got to 7 mm isn't it the triple stripe or burger that's also important?

Great news @Charlie74! Some days in this IVF process have to be good days!! @JulieMalooley @Chiefsgirl Intralipid girls, has any-one else developed scar tissue at the injection site? Any idea on how to break the scar tissue down? Injections are flipping painful now when I barely used to blink previously. I only have 1 vein worth using and it's now officially over used.
I need to drink a litre of water an hour before blood tests to make the blood run faster. I keep forgetting that tip!
@midnite01 I didn't have to pay anything for my tests today. I asked the lady to check twice and she seemed to be sure it was all bulk billed. I wonder if I'll receive a Melb Path invoice in the mail in a months time?! Surprisingly she only took 3 vials of blood. I thought it would be alot more.

Believe it or not, I think I have scar tissue (or something?) from the Clexane shots. My belly was bruised black and blue, and the skin there got thick, if that makes sense? Even now (and it's been nearly 3 months since I had a shot) there is some residual bruising when I stand in the right light, and the thickened skin remains.

I am the vampire's dream @Tahli. I refer to my left elbow vein as "Old faithful." As soon as they stick me with the needle they have trouble keeping the vials up, it flows so fast!

Had some good news today. So apparently I should never have been sent that report that I was sent in August- it's only meant for internal purposes! However my nurse was happy to tell me info that was on it. And am pretty stoked bcos on day of EPU (cd 14), my lining was 6mm!! And that was after I'd stopped all my extra oestrogen 3 days before. So that makes me feel somewhat more confident for FET.

Also... Bcos we've done 2 full IVF cycles but never transferred, we are only gonna be out of pocket $157 for this transfer and another (when/if we do one)... I feel like I've won the lottery!! @Charlie74 that's awesome news about the costs. Let's hope for us these free/cheap cycles are the lucky ones for us!

Anyone who had asked about intralipids I picked them up today. About $37 and a 500ml bottle. $200 to have them administered in Clayton.

As for the dhea I'm wondering whether I should start taking that now when starting a fet cycle or should just wait until I get a result from this cycle? That would then give me at least 2-3 months on it before a next potential Epu.

I've also been told I will be using pregnyl as a trigger and also as daily injections to boost my lining. Is it hard to use??

I'm really interested in the adoption conversation going on. Does anyone know someone who has done it in Australia?
