Oh wow, is that THE BIG counselling session where you get to offload your IVF concerns with DH? Good luck hon, I imagine that could be very emotional for both of you.

I must say you have one heck of a baffling cycle! Fingers crossed you can still proceed with your plans. AF has to come back sometime hon Unless of course you are pregnant, in which case all bets are off!

That IS weird. Did you have really light ones previously? I hope the counselling goes really well for you and DP and you can start your planning asap.

Yes, this is the ONE, the big session where I talk about the things that we haven't been able to discuss without fighting. I'm dreading it, but it will be good to get it all out and see where we go from here.

I normally have fairly light cycles, but the last three have been a better flow and I've been really happy with them, thinking that my health is really improving now (besides the Bell's Palsy blip!). So this is very unusual. It did happen only once before and I was pregnant, but this is too long now for it to be that. Last time it seemed I ovulated about Day 21, so got my BFP a week after AF was due which makes perfect sense. Now I'm 11 days late and no BFP in sight... I did take prednisone for a few days early in Jan with the Bell's, but I didn't think that could possibly delay AF by nearly two weeks.

I hope the counseling goes well, I'm ****ting myself as I hate confrontation. Not that I'm expecting anything awful, it's just hard

Oh, it would be hard hon. All that pent up stress and emotion will come out, and as we all know that rarely happens in a quiet dignified manner. I'd be a complete mess! I'll be thinking of you, and sending calming vibes your way. I do think it's important though, for you to get it all out in the open. I reckon that sort of frustration and worry can really block your fertility. Sounds loopy I know, but healthy mind, healthy body.....

I'll be thinking of you yes it sounds hard.
I hate to say this, but do you think its possible your body has just not ovulated this month? Isn't that supposed to happen sometimes as we get closer to menopause? I can't think of any other logical explanation.. ?

@Summer i would say there's a good chance your cycle is messed up from
being sick. Are you feeling like af is close? Maybe it just messed up your ov date. Hope the counseling goes well.

Good luck to those girls starting a new cycle today, I always feel a sense of hope at the beginning. Let's see some BFPs in here soon!

so far so good. back wednesday for another BT & U/S. I think ov is due for friday if going by my standard cycle. which would put transfer at next wed. but who knows if this cycle will be standard. last time we tried to use the embryo my levels where out of whack and it was canceled then appendix was removed. at least that won't happen again

    Hi Ladies,
Thought I'd dip my toe in the water and join in the conversation Just had my first IVF cycle cancelled due to a polyp appearing so unsure when I'll be cycling now - got to have a D&C next week etc. etc.

DP and I have been actively trying now for 4 years, started down the ART road three years ago. Had a natural pg in our assessment cycle which mc at 9w5d at the end of 2013. 3 OI cycles with 1 cancellation and 2 bfn. My issues - PCOS and age (nearly 44), DP no issues.

Here's hoping we all have success in 2016!
