Default progesterone injection after embryo transfer

    Hi all,
Im newbie here, so please bear with me if someones already asked about this...
Im going to have my frozen embryo transfer with next 10 days probably, and unlike last time the clinic gave me crinone, they told me this time they r giving me the progesterone kind of shot after my transfer.
Im a bit worry coz I have short luteal phase and really need something to support my progesterone level. Last time I started crinone like three days before transfer...
So, if they only give me the shot after the transfer, wouldnt it be too late?and would the injection last long enough like over 1 or 2 week?
Sorry about all the questions and really hope someone who has done the injection after the transfer would please shed some light on this...
    Million thanks

    Hi are you having pregnyl?

I take pregnyl for progesterone support. It's 3 injections one every 3rd day. I also suffer from a short leutel phase and have found this is the only thing that will keep my period away and give the emby a chance at sticking.

Generally I will have my first shot the day before a transfer and then every 3rd day after that.

Maybe check with your clinic if they can check your levels 2 days out from the transfer and see what's happening and you can have the injection earlier?

    Good luck

It helps support ur pregnancy. Keeps ur lining nice and thick.
Tricks ur body into thinking ur pregnant. So u have more of a chance if success. Just no hpt-ing as it will give u a false positive.
    Good luck

I think the shots are 'better absorbed' if you know what I mean than the pessaries plus a lot more easier!

I use pregnyl for frozen transfers as well I would never go back to pessies

I'm on day 2 of a FET wishing us both some luck!
