@amethyst85 I had spotting around 4-5 weeks then a massive bleed at 6w 1 day whilst at work! My ob thought I had miscarried but scanned me as I was hysterical. There was a healthy bub with a great heart beat and a big blood clot in my uterus (sub chronic haematoma). I was put on immediate bed rest for 6 weeks and larger doses of progesterone and very closely monitored by my ob. I bled quite a lot during that time. After 12 weeks no more bleeding and now have a beautiful big bouncing baby. I think it's important to get a scan for your own peace of mind and ongoing medical treatment. Best of luck I'm thinking of you......

Thanks for sharing JoJo ☺ I'm so glad it worked out well for you! Trusting my ob's advice to sit tight, but will definitely be following up for bloods and scans if it contines or worsens ☺

I had a bleed at 5 weeks, it was a big gush, similar to a period. I obviously thought the worst. My HCG was monitored by my clinic (IVF baby) and it was still increasing. Scan at 7 weeks showed a healthy heartbeat. I still had spotting for a while following. It can be so frightening but it doesn't always mean the worst.

Thanks again for all of those who reassured me during this scare! Had another bleed today and was really worried... went in for a scan and everything looks perfect. Measures perfectly, little heart is beating away and he/she is flipping and tumbling and having a great time in there!
