    Default Babys gender

Hi hope I'm in the right place. Have any of you been told you're having a girl from your morph scan, but gave birth to a boy? I am 30 weeks and was told I was having girl, and they had a goodish look (I was 18 weeks at scan) but I've been having dreams about a boy lately. I was the same with my previous pregnancies where I had dreams about gender and was right. I've heard wrong prediction of a boy is more common, as its the cord that's seen, but wrong prediction of a girl is pretty rare.
I don't care what the gender is, but I have bought a lot and I wouldn't be too happy if I have wasted a lot of money (no baby stuff left so have to buy it all again) I can't have another scan to check as I am going to public and would have to pay for a scan and can't justify the cost just for gender.

We were told earlier on that we were having a boy but later found out we were having a girl (thankfully we hadn't purchased anything!). A good friend of mine had multiple scans during her pregnancy and was told every time it was a girl... Baby was born a boy. They just used the clothes they already had (all pink!) until he grew out of them then purchased boys stuff.

A friend was told she was having a girl (and she had multiple scans) and out popped a boy. It does happen. I paid for a gender scan and it wasn't too expensive - about $60 from memory. But I guess the risk is that could still be wrong.

Exactly, no scan will ever be 100%. The only guarantee of knowing the gender is when bub is born. From memory I paid about $150 for a gender scan.

That is true. Won't know 100% until baby is born. I am excited no matter what. But might stop buying girl for now just in case, because my instincts are saying boy.

SheWarrior Have you had bub yet or were you told different gender at different scans?

The person who did our scan said if she wasn't sure she wouldn't tell us either way. We've been told it's a bit and we could clearly see not parts.
I guess it depends on who's doing it? And where the umbilical cord is maybe?

Yep, this was dd4. She is 19 months now told different gender at different scans. First was early (14 or so weeks), by a place that 'specialises' in gender scans. They said they doubted they would be able to tell so we didn't expect anything but right at the end the guy said he believes it was a boy. Did a bit more looking and pipes up its definitely a boy. We showed friends who had boys and they agreed. What we thought was a pen!s stood out clear as day. Definitely not the cors either. Thankfully we held off saying anything because at our 20 week we found out he was actually a she- very obvious lack of boy parts. Born very much a little girl.
