Please let me know if I am not allowed to do this. This is very good and detailed information about the situation at the moment and for the foreseeable future. Not looking great for some areas 😢

Not good at all. It's bad enough as it is, but there's so much forrest - a lot of which that haven't had a prescribed burn for decades - and tree plantations in the area, that it could travel even further if it gets in there.

There's also the loss of infrastructure - bridges on SW highway, plus the dozers have been up and down it so the road will need significant repair, house, businesses....its just devastating for the region.

They are dumping milk - the ones that have power to run the milking machines. The others will be praying the power comes back on so they have some chance of getting milk supply back up and not losing all the production until the next calf is born. Not to mention battling with mastitis.

So horrible for the families. I saw some of the posts where they were hoping for some news of them.

Milk from dairies where I am is still being picked up, but like amyd said, Harvey dairies have been dumping milk the last couple of days. Harvey Fresh has their plant/factory in Harvey, so if it gets over run by the fire, we could be in for a major milk shortage. Plus beef, vineyards, the list goes on. I think we are up to 125 houses lost now. So much destruction. Hopefully we don't lose any more lives.

I saw on a few Facebook pages at the time the town was burning someone desperately looking for someone to get their relative matching the age of one of the people out. They had spoken to the relative an hour earlier then lost all contact. I saw this result coming. So so sad.

    131 i heard.

Drakesbrook wines are gone. They went the first day. So many others are likely to have gone. I know there was a new one north of myalup, west of Harvey that would be very lucky to survive.

Anyone traveling the detour can not rely on roadside assist such as RAC to get to them due to distance, accessibility and danger.
