Default Slow heart rate at 7 weeks

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I hope I am posting this to the right area.
I am 7 weeks pregnant, conceived through ivf (second cycle, 2 good quality blastocysts transferred).
I went for my 7 week scan (baby measures at 6w 4d) yesterday and the fetal heart rate was slow. I also experienced spotting yesterday afternoon just before my scan. My doctor wasn't overly concerned about the spotting but she indicated a 50/50 chance of survival because of the low heart rate. I have a follow up scan next Tuesday. A long wait!
Has anyone experienced a slow heart rate that then improved in the follow up scan?
    Thanks in advance

    What was the heart rate?

I didn't do if but my first scan for this pregnancy I was measuring 6 days behind with a heart rate of 112. A few days later at a repeat ultrasound due to spotting & me thinking I was miscarrying, my dates measured correctly and bubs heart rate was much higher and I have been measuring fine since (now 16 wks). It could go either way for you but hopefully it's the same as mine.

My doc didn't tell me the heart rate and at the time I didn't think to ask as I was processing the information. She said it was slow for my gestation and that it could go either way.

Yes, around 6.5 weeks my bubs heartrate was only 85...I was frantic! 2 days later it was in the 130's...perfect. A lot can change in a few days when it is so early. I am now 13 weeks

Thanks so much for your reply. I won't know anything util next Tuesday but it's re-assuring to know that others have had a similar experience. Good luck with your bub
