I would've thought AC remotes would form part of the chattels/fixtures as they go with the AC which is generally a permanent fixture.

TV aerial etc I'm not so sure about. mailbox I would've thought would get included but maybe not?

so long as nothing is missing from when you did the pre-settlement inspection to when you settled/took possession then I doubt there's much you can do. if it wasn't there to begin with then they're unlikely to include it retrospectively. they're mom essentials anyway (well maybe bar the mail box)

I'd call the company up re the AC remotes though. you need those!

Thanks ladies. It's my first time buying a house so I'm a bit clueless on this stuff.

Air Con remote should be there if its remote controlled, the rest are extras that don't unless they were there when you inspected

Totally off topic - wouldn't it be nice not to have a letterbox? Think of all the stuff you wouldn't get shoved in it. We have a PO box for all of our addressed mail - so you just gave me an idea for our 'forever house' - thanks!

What is on your contract? What was there when viewing the house? We specifically asked for certain things on the contract for chattels so it was clear when we signed our contract. But specifically aircon remotes - they should be there

It's possible. The first home we bought we realized after exchange that we didn't have a letterbox (much like OP). Then we realized no one had one! We had bought in an area with no postal delivery. We had to collect from the local Post Office. It was lovely...
