Default Help me choose a cake for ds' 2nd birthday...

Originally I planned to make a train cake as he loved trains but now he is a little older he isn't so train obsessed. At the moment he loves the wiggles so I thought a big red car would be cool. But I'm not sure I have the time or skill to make it. I would prefer something with buttercream that could be decorated with lollies etc.

    So what should I do:

    Train?
    Big Red Car?
    Something else?

Give me your ideas please! I have a few weeks to decide so throw your ideas/thoughts at me!

Eta. To clarify that I'm making it myself!

Are you making it yourself or getting someone to make it for you?

Maybe Google all those cakes and get some ideas.
You also might be able to Guage what you're capable of after seeing pics.

The 2 cakes could be done with butter cream and a toy put on top for the red car.

The round one you can buy one of those edible icing pictures.

I would make a nice cake with buttercream icing and wiggles toys/figures on top. Yum! Fondant tastes gross.

    That's an option.

Though I was hoping to make a train shaped cake previously so was thinking of a car shape.

I'd probably do a wiggles themed number 2 cake or what about making the train but making it wiggly? You could ice it all in blue butter cream and then have yellow lollies in one carriage, red in the next and purple in the last and decorate the train itself with red, yellow and purple smarties and then pop it on a cake board with some little wiggles figures/toys?

It would be great if the wiggles did a big red train! They already do a big red boat - maybe I should make that?
