It's got a pretty vast database and the app comes with a barcode scanner.
So say I'm making spaghetti bolagnaise
I'll set up a recipe and scan in the barcodes of the mince, tomato paste, minced garlic, tinned tomatoes, spaghetti etc and make sure all the weights are correct (I'll weigh the spaghetti uncooked and just use 500g mince packets). Things like vegetables I'll just search for and weigh my veggies and add them in.
It then gets you to say how many serves per recipe there are, so even if you're making a meal for 5 you can still work out how many calories per serve there are.
I scan and log absolutely everything - the 250ml glass of juice I have in the morning, the milk on my cereal, the oil that I cook my meat in.
It's super easy with packaged foods and the teeniest bit more fiddly with home made recipes (but not impossible!!).

Previous attempts at weight loss I have and found I got obsessed with it but I have a rough idea about what kinds of foods a day I can eat and still lose, but I mostly focus on healthy balance and trying to get fitter and hope I lose weight lol

Pretty peeved with only a 300g loss.
Did 1-2 hours of exercise every day as well as eating at a 1000 cal deficit (tracked correctly).
You will likely see a big loss next week alliecat, and any loss of great and a step in the right direction, don't let it dishearten you, you are doing great.
Had such a bad 2 days, last night dinner out, no healthy options😤 tonight had a hand full of chips but I didn't do a full workout, to hot for my run, went and came home, didn't even go 1/2 the distance. Still did my weights work out first but think I had much more in me☹️ tomorrow is a new day!!
Still trucking along here. Happy that my motivation is sticking around for once! Hang in there, everyone x
I have been slack. Did not do any exercise all week except for bit of walking here and there. Weekend food I don't monitor too much as we are usually out. Back to work today so will be having light lunches. Also going to do my exercise dvd tonight . I have said it publicly now so must keep my word
I had half a ham and cheese sandwich with a couple of spoonfuls of yogurt for dinner because I was avoiding MIL who was in the kitchen. I'm starving this morning but again was avoiding MIL who has apparently camped out in the kitchen so when I get to work I'll grab some brekky.
