Gosh gingermillie I don't think I could handle swings like that!

DJ Nette hope his swing goes quickly for you.

Glad to hear you get some home time for a while Dave.

Babyno1onboard we are at the halfway mark too! Hate how the last few days seem to go for 50hrs each!

No plan or end date in sight here either. Too much debt and other financial **** to deal with to be able to afford him coming home hate it.

DH often talks about his mate who paid his mortgage off then quit his job and got a job working at the local servo walking distance from his house. I wouldn't put it past DH to do it one day

How's everyone going with Christmas coming up? My DH is home Wednesday for the week so we'll celebrate Christmas on 18th Dec (told the kids that I wrote a letter to Santa to come early) but technically DH is away for Christmas & New Year... not sure how I'll cope yet, 3.5 year old, 2 year old & 17 weeks pregnant, I'm sure I'll have a little cry on Christmas morning missing DH, but hopefully this Sunday's Christmas will make up for it

DH is home Tuesday night and then has leave for 4 weeks. So looking forward to it. I have so much to do and I'm so busy in the next 2 weeks it is crazy. Poor DD is sick today so I am trying to work from home with a a 3 year old who is either sleeping or spewing. Looks like DH might be permanently based in our home town from January. If so it would be the best Christmas present ever.

Hi guys. DH is back on a FIFO roster 2:1. Due home this week normally but decided to work til Tuesday next week so he can be home for Christmas and New Years. I have a 10.5yo, 8.5yo & 6.5yo and found out last week we are expecting another Aug next year. Slowly getting back into our roster while DH is away (helpful it's holidays already.

DH gets home a few days after Xmas so we will delay celebrating the day until he is home. Xmas day will be sad, it's going to be hard not to cave and give DD her presents! She was only 6 months old last Xmas so didn't really get it. I think she will have a ball this year opening presents and eating all the yummy food. Sigh. Stupid FIFO!

Sorry for those who won't be with their partners this Xmas that must be really hard
DH has been home working at home in adelaide for the past 5 weeks but is away now just for a couple of days in the country and also for 3 days next week but is home and on holidays for 2 weeks over Xmas (we have his brother coming to stay from overseas). So far no away work booked in Jan-Feb but that might change and then he's away for 4-5 weeks in march - dreading it already!

He's in NSW at the moment (rigs not mines) so they go where ever required. He's been all over Australia (think the only places he hasn't been is Tas & Vic)
