    Default Feeling lost

So im feeling very average in my life atm.

Unhappy marriage. Overweight. No money. My friends have dropped off. No social life. No job. Still renting at 38.

Basically i feel like a massive failure in life. My life has gone terribly downhill in the space of 3 years.

How do i start to get my self together? Do others ever feel like they're failing at life?

Hi I'm 34, overweight, limited social life, & renting. I do work but I've been on holidays this week. Sitting around with loads of spare time has really made me miserable especially with limited funds to do anything.
If you can, go for a walk. Alone. With music pumping in your ears. I just did because I was so down & out.
While it won't fix everything, it will make you feel better, I promise.

    Big hugs xxxxxx

what about going to chat with a counsellor? someone outside your life might be able to offer some objective advice on how to get yourself out of the fog?

what goals do you have? you said you're not working, would you like to work?

I think doing a list of goals you'd like to achieve, split into short, medium
and long term goals, would be a great start also.

identify what it is you'd like to achieve etc

    good luck xx

I was working but had to stop for numerous reasons. I miss my job but i didnt have much social interaction on a day to day basis.

I think im mostly lonely which is silly in a house full of kids.

Yep! I totally get that. This week has given me way too much time to think too. A good playlist with pop music blaring away. Even if you sing a long who cares!

there must be other goals you have, even just small ones?

I find identifying goals sets you up with a feeling of purpose and improves your headspace immediately.

I've recently been really getting into podcasts. I'm sure there are loads that suit your interests! It's a really good way to multi task, you can walk and learn new things at the same time.
