    Default Fernwood

I'm looking at taking over someone else's membership until June. It's $40 a fortnight.

Has anyone done this before? Or used fernwood?

I go to fernwood but from what I've heard it's pretty different from gym to gym. That being said my local fernwood is fantastic. I've recommended it to many of my friends and family who have subsequently joined. The child care is great, good variety in classes, mine is 24/7, the instructors and staff are awesome and all the facilities are well looked after and clean.

I have never been to Fernwood (used to go to Fitness First aaaaages ago) and I agree that every gym is different and run differently. See if you can go check it out - have a few sessions as a free trial or something before committing.

Some facilities are newer - sometimes the trainers are... nicer in some gyms other than others.

Of course the difference is that Fernwood is aimed at females so that can make others more comfortable but go check it out if you can

I go to fernwood and pay $44 a fortnight.
At mine Childcare is free, trainers are awesome, heaps of group classes, free fruit and breakfast foods, free shampoo conditioner, hair dryers, hair straightners, there is a food coach on site, sauna, hairdresser in the actual gym ... I could go on and on. It's an extremely supportive environment.
