I had a big bleed in my 5th week but just had to wait until 7 weeks for my scan as the heartbeat doesn't always appear until then. I did have my blood checked two days after the bleed and my HCG was still increasing. 7 week scan came around around and everything was normal.

How certain are you of your dates? A few days can make a big difference early on.

Did you have an internal/TV scan? Did they find a sac, was there a yolk sac and a pole?

If they found a pole but no heartbeat, then sadly it doesn't look good. If there was still nothing showing in the sac or just a yolk sac, then it could still be too early. Big hugs, the uncertainty and waiting is horrible!

Thanks ladies, had an internal scan there was a sac and pole. Hopefully my dates are off and it was too early. I have long cycles aprox 33 days so fingers crossed. I had my bloods done yesterday and my prog had increased so will see what they are in a couple of days. Bring on Thursday morning. So scared.

At 6w4d when my OB did a scan he said he'd be happy to see a sac and fetal pole and wouldn't stress if there wasn't a heartbeat, that we would just check again the following week. Hopefully there will be one at your next scan. X
