    She probably does see it like that now. However she would be crazy to leave without getting a job first and reality will catch up with her very quickly when she starts applying.

    ETA @Summer - If I was in your position, I would also be considering the ramifications on what would happen if the woman in question stumbled upon this thread. Having been burnt a few times, I do admit I'm paranoid about things like that.

    Oh yes @SSecret Squirrel I have thought of that! I am a little paranoid about some of the more personal stuff I've put up on BH, I was thinking that some of the older threads that are no longer relevant might do with a good purging. I might have to contact the mods about that. I wouldn't think it was too risky, as she doesn't have young children and isn't starting a family, but yes, that would be horrifying if my anonymous personal stuff becomes known - I would be mortified to say the least!

    PP's are correct, she may not leave of her own accord, but that is fine with DH, if she keeps doing her job well, he is fine with that. She will have had a warning about her actions that were not appropriate, so she has the choice to modify her behaviour and keep her job if she chooses. But DH will be watching for anything that is outside the lines and will give another warning if necessary. The ball really is in her court now, DH is going with the flow.

    I would not be okay with keeping on someone who was giving out other people's pay information.

    Default Why Are People So Ungrateful?

    Haven't read the whole thread but to ask why she doesn't get a pay rise instead of explaining why she believes she is entitled to a pay rise says it all!! Not to mention that a conversation on salary should have been outside of the current discussion, not off the back of being privy to others salary information IMO

    I work in a business that pays well, and pay rises are not just given based on cpi but on merit - you need to perform to be rewarded. A lot of ppl have issues with this way but for me i think it makes sense. You do well and you are rewarded either with merit and or merit and bonus. You don't perform you get nothing.
