    Default Yet another Christmas question

The thread about where you hide kids Xmas presents got me thinking....what happens when your kids find their presents? Do you get them new presents, give them anyway, lie to them that they're not theirs and hope they forget about them by the time Xmas comes around or……

Give them anyway after saying they weren't for him, then enduring the most MASSIVE tantrum because he wanted the ninja turtle costume soooo badly 😏 they will be hidden MUCH better next year but I thought we could get away with it for one more year

Lie to them and hope they forget about it.

Although I don't think we have had any major finds so far. We usually hide them in places we know they will never look or "off site".

My kids once found a dolls house in the bottom of my wardrobe.

I told them I was minding it for a friend.

I had been undecided whether it would be a Christmas or birthday present, so I just went with birthday in the end.

It depends on how many they find. It hasn't happened to us (DD is only 2) but if it does and she only finds a couple I would give those to her as her 'under the tree presents' from us. If she found all of them I guess I would lie and hope she forgot or I'd ring around various family to see if they have bought her anything yet and if not if they want to buy them off me to give her so I can buy different things from Santa lol
