@Blossom74 I have used both orgalutron and cetrotide. The needle is slightly larger. If you get the point in the right place. I always made sure the hole was pointing up. If that makes sense. Once I found the sweet spot. I was all good. Good luck with the new combo. It worked for me.

I am going well today. No smears. Not much cramping at all. I am on 400mg pessies a day. But I decided to pop a 200mg in the middle of the day. Not sure why. Just felt right thing to do

    Only one more sleep........

If this is pregnancy... Then it's going to be a long ride. Feeling of AF all the time..

I have been been talking to both embies of late... Yes I'm weird

@tuxcat the donor program I am looking at is the Traveling Donors which is very similar to going to CT but they just bring the girls here, and then under Australian laws they have to be known donors which is what we wanted. It all happens in Brisbane under Wazza and then the embryos are stored here for future transfers which makes things easier.

But it will cost close to $20K by the time it's all done, so yep, super will be needed. If I did just have my friend donate, then it's not anywhere near as much, so I'm still hoping for that to happen, but she hasn't gotten back to me for a while so I think she's not that keen - so I'm looking at the other option. Because you have to pay for the girl's flights, accommodation, the organisers fees etc it makes it reasonably expensive - but probably the same difference as if we traveled to CT.
Hey Summer. Like you've I've looked into the Known Donors program coming over... But I'd heard it's more around the $26k mark.. Have you got any breakdowns to share?? We have been swinging back to going to CT due to the cost as I heard it was about $13k for Known Donors org and around $13 paid to QFG....

Why..."Thank-you Very Much" (she says in her best Elvis impersonation!!😁)

    Hope you didn't burn yourself?!?!?!😮xo
OMG! Now I have a vision of Elvis pulling down his white sequinned jumpsuit to enter his derriere in the "Best In Show" competition!!

No burns, but snorting tea isn't the best way to drink it!

I'm assuming you'd get your longest "Dunny Break" overnight when you're sleeping?? So even if you only get 3-4 hrs between "Lavvy Lurking" that would be enough!!

Have a specimen container on hand to collect when you go I say!!!😁👍

Oh my figures could be out then because I was thinking $13K to Known Donors and then QFG would be about $7K - isn't it normally around that for a cycle? I will have to find out proper figures as if it is $13K to QFG as well that would really make it unaffordable. Do you get any of that $13K back from PHI do you know?

@Precious40 Do you normally have to pee hourly? For me personally, it's a strong early pregnancy symptom. If you're 14-16dpo I'd be very surprised if a positive didn't come up immediately even if you only held onto your wee for an hour.
@BlondeinBrisvegas @Blossom and Co We could always hunt Precious down, gently sit on her to restrain her, then one of us could take a flying run, land on her bladder, while some-one else collects her wee...easy done really!!

When I did my cycles I used the Orgalutran for about three days prior to what would have been EPU had we gotten more than one follicle to the right size. And then we triggered so we could DTD or we did IUI to hope for a conception. It was no drama, if they're scanning you regularly they should know when your follies are getting closer to the right size and get you started on it to prevent them popping!

@Tahli I feel your frustration! If we lived closer together I would be tempted to offer you my DH's sperm! He is quite keen to be a sperm donor in the future (and he makes BEAUTIFUL children), but I did say to him that would be pretty hurtful right now when we don't have our own child. Once we do have our own family (fingers crossed) I would be fine with it though

AFM I woke up New Year's Day with Bell's Palsy, likely from a virus I got just before Christmas. Geez I can't take a trick with my health at the moment. It's not a severe case, so I can leave the house without a balaclava, but if you know me, you can see my drooping eye and weird mouth when I smile and I can't talk properly and my eye is permanently watering. So back on the prednisone today but not IVF related

I just booked in to my FS next Wednesday to get started on my next cycle. AF is due the 15th, so I'm going in to talk about doing a low dose cycle, and hopefully I can pick up my meds and get jabbing in about ten days time. I'm not particularly hopeful at all, but I guess like BIB has said, I have to leave no stone unturned and now that it's been six months off all the meds (and I was doing better until I got freak-face syndrome) I want to do a cycle before I turn 45 just to know in my own mind that I did try everything possible with my own eggs.

Then I'll see if I can pull my super out to do a DE cycle and get moving, I'm so over my life being in limbo and putting things on hold "just in case" I fall pregnant. We're planning holidays later in the year and I'm hesitant to pay deposits as "what if I'm due around then and we have to cancel?" but I've been doing that for nearly three years now and I just want to be able to plan things properly and not always have in the back of my mind "what if"...
@Summer love just reading back older posts and saw your reference to Bells Palsy... Oh no! You poor thing. I got this last November after my immune system crashed due to stress and IVF. I was on antivirals, prednisone, the whole shebang! I had accupuncture etc and my face took about 3 months to get close to normal again. I didn't sleep well due to my eye being permanently open.

Hon I'd be a bit worried if I were you about throwing yourself into another cycle while your body is fighting a virus. I needed 3 weeks off work and a lot of medication and rest. The cycle I was half way through was a bust and was cancelled and instead of waiting i too went to a next cycle and it was the worst i had ever. Summer I really hope the same doesn't happen to you and so couldn't help but share my story as a little warning. However if your doctors say it's fine you may be ok?
